1976 Denmark Interview

The quality is just fabulous. Too bad Chris isn't there.

Note: This was originally labeled as from Denmark, but it's apparently Dutch.

I saw this one on Facebook via Jackie the crazy Lindsey fan (she's biglindseyfan77 on YouTube) and I must say, awesome vid either way. Too bad stuff like this is so rare.

EDIT: Did that guy call Stevie Mary when she sat down in the beginning?

Yes, he did. He also asked Mick if he enjoys being happy and gay while he's playing on stage. And John said he doesn't write songs like Mick does so therefore he is bored in the studio. Have another drink MacKers.

I'm not sure where the "Denmark" part comes from because as far as I know this has nothing to do with Denmark. The interview was for Dutch television, with a Dutch interviewer, most likely done in London. That's probably where the confusion comes from, many non-Europeans think: Dutch = from Denmark.

I've watched this interview about 10 times since someone tweeted a link to it a couple of weeks ago. It's about the only really good quality footage of them from this era that I've seen?

Such a shame Chris isn't there!! But I really like it for a bunch of reasons.....

John is such a gentleman, pulling Stevie's chair out for her (LB doesn't budge!)

Mick's little girl playing with Stevie's hand is cute

LB and SN taking themselves SOOOO seriously as writers, which I think is quite revealing of how much they shared a common vision of the enormous depth of their own artistry

SN's body language towards LB: c.o.l.d.

How long must John have wanted to tell Mick to stfu by the time he finally did so in Destiny Rules!

I love it.
Loz

No, the interviewers first name is Harry.... He says "I'm Harry".

Thanks. Then again, I thought that, at the end of Go Your Own Way from Rosebud, Stevie says, instead of "It's only love" that she said "Oh Linda". If I hadn't realized my mistake, I'd probably be sitting there thinking "Who in hell is Linda?"

EDIT: Well, we got 2 things that haven't changed: Lindsey and Stevie's tense atmosphere and Mick not shutting up. BTW, I'm sure this isn't a case of Stevie being called Mary, but don't Bucky's eyes look green here?

Wow, it's so obvious now. I would have thought he said Hi Mary forever, if you had not corrected us.

Hey MacMan, what is that clanking thing that John puts on the table in front of Stevie, after she is settled in her chair?

Please tell people don't really think the Dutch are from Denmark. As if I haven't lost enough faith in humanity. I did think the interviewer sounded Dutch, but I just went with how the clip was originally labeled by the poster on Youtube (it's now labeled as Dutch). And what with the unlisted link, I've never seen it before now.

They definitely look blue to me. A very lovely blue denim, you might say. :p

I swear, they looked green to me, but they can be described as "Bright eyes, blue denim"
