Pre-Order for 'Live 1982' cd on Amazon
 

There aren't many details, but it looks like next month Amazon will have in stock 'Fleetwood Mac In Concert 1982' on cd, and it's available for pre-order now. It's an import on the 'Immortal' label. My guess is that likely it is an audio cd of The Mirage Tour home video.
Still, the versions of 'The Chain' and 'Sisters of the Moon' from that concert I attended will be most welcome on cd, in my collection! I just hope it has good (and correct!) cover art, unlike one import dvd of the Mirage concert that wrongly had Rick Vito and Billy Burnette on the cover. Oh, I have a tiny bit of info, by chance. In 1979, Diana Ross had a very good HBO special that became a home video. In 2009, this same European label, Immortal, released a live cd of it. The liner notes are quite good, and packaging is nice and it has multiple photos from the correct concert inside of the digipak, but the cover shot of Ross is circa 1990. The sound quality is good, if not exceptional. One reviewer on amazon found much to fault with the sound, but it sounds fine to me, if less loud than most cds, but with the volume raised, it sounds good. The same amazon reviewer claims that 'Immortal' is a bootleg label. I don't know if that's so or not. So, this may be a bootleg, but if it's like the Ross one, it's nice.

I'd give my eyeteeth to have it be the US Festival.

in August of this year. They will delete the CD the same day as
the release date. And then magically some seller will have copies
to sale to you.

Buy it if you like it, just know what you're getting in advance.

Yeah, just another stupid bootleg, where Fleetwood Mac won't get a penny. Just rip the audio from the youtube videos, I'm sure that's what they did.

Yet FM is too lazy or stupid, to bother with getting this stuff released, on their own. They released Tango on DVD, yet can't be bothered with Mirage(which is 1000x better than Tango). WTF???? Or the Tusk doc???

Led Zep released a compilation of like 5 HOURS of great live video. WHY can't FM do something similar? Lazy? Dumb? They just don't give a sh*t?

I mean the former, the whole FM US Festival. I already have Stevie's on a bootleg or one of those semi-official imports.

I know very little about Fleetwood Mac's set at The US Festival in 1982. Could the set have been very different than the LA Forum set? Maybe they did 'Hold Me' at the US Festival? If it was performed at The Forum, I can't recall, but it obviously didn't make it onto the 'Mirage' home video if it was. I don't remember them playing it the night I went.

Yes, they did Hold Me. I wouldn't mind if it was the same set list, I just would be very happy to get clear footage of the whole show. I've just seen clips from the festival. It would be nice to have another concert to add to our collection. Mirage was a short tour and I'm grateful for the official video, but since other US Festivals have been released, I'd be thrilled if FM's segment from 1982 would be too.

The set list was the same for every Mirage show. It's a crime that the official Mirage tour video tape only featured just a portion of the entire concert. Granted, at that time, that practice was standard. But obviously the entire show was filmed (with DVDs a full concert is standard practice). I wish someone in power would take on that project and get it released. With the huge time-gaps between Fleetwood Mac/solo albums, some products like this could fill the gaps.
