Love Is, the uncut version?

So the last 9 years something has bothered me about Love Is on TISL. There was this moment right before "So she stood in the doorway" that the tempo and cadence just falls flat. I always assumed they just missed it in the mixing and didn't add a longer pause or kick drum or something to fill the gap or maybe cut an instrumental. Now I think they edited out the "missing" verse that we all hear in the demo and the new stage version.

has anyone ever heard of an "uncut" version of Love Is? Do you think we will ever see it?

wow thats funny...because from the first time i heard this song ...which was in May of 2001...i always thought that that point in the song was just a dramatic "tempo" change to coordinate with the importance of those specific lyrics. the music drops and Stevies vocals "So she stood there i the hallway..." stood out because they were an important dramatic part of the arrangement....i later heard the TISL demos which didnt surface until way after the albums release. and assumed that was the original vocal for the song which is alot better...and im sure it was sung that way for the album but someone somewhere edited it (happens alot to Stevie) but it doesnt take away from it. the first time i ever heard Love Is was on the TISL cd and its an incredible version, as is the "demo version" ...i listen to them as 2 different songs.
