"I left them with seventeen demos"

So I'm watching this video of Stevie while she was touring for TISL and she said she left Fleetwood Mac 17 demos for SYW. We all know these ten:

Say You Will
Illume
Thrown Down
Smile At You
Running Thru The Garden
Silver Girl
Everybody Finds Out
Destiny Rules
Goodbye Baby
Not Make Believe

Any ideas as to what other seven demos she left them?
Wonder if she has any plans to bring them back for her new album.

It would make sense if she gave them some of the TISL demos that didn't make it onto the album.

i thought there might be even more than that because on the destiny rules documentary when stevie goes to "the apartment" she has 4 new songs doesn't she? it seemed to me that they hadn't seen those before. But maybe i'm wrong. if i'm not that means she probably had a whole bag of demo's which she gave to them.

Are you talking about the new songs she wrote - just for this album? I think those are the 4....the others had already been written.

Yeah, she wrote Illume, Destiny Rules, Silver Girl and Say You Will somewhere between when they met up while she was touring for TISL and when they met up again in jan 2002. Didn't she? Cause she comes in and says she's been writing like a maniac or something like that... So basically FM mustn't have heard those 4 demos when she gave them the seventeen demos.

'seventeen' could just be a number that flew out of Stevies mouth...lol

That's probably right, in that recent interview about the album and such she was telling us robin died in 1981, Stevie doesn't really have a way with numbers...:D

from what i understood, Stevie wrote the Phoenix 4 (Illume, DR, SG & SYW) specifically FOR SYW ... but she had previously left them with 17 (or wotever #) demos when she went off on tour

presumably they would have been EFO, Goodbye Baby, TD, SaY, Not Make Believe... and prob like 10 others we could speculate on...

It coulda been a double album. :(

Yes, also add "Running Through The Garden" to the demo list that made the cut of the supposed 17 demo's she left Lindsey, Mick, & John before heading out on her TISL tour. Some have speculated on this board that "All The Beautiful Worlds" was recorded for the SYW sessions. I wish we had a confirmation of that definitively.

So the demos that made the cut and were released:
1.Everybody Finds Out
2.Thrown Down
3 Running Through The Garden
4.Goodbye Baby
5.Smile At You
6..Not Make Believe

Plus the 4 new songs she wrote in late 01' before re-joining FM in the studio in Jan. 02' to contribute something fresh and current to the project.

So Fleetwood Mac had possibly another 10-11 songs in addition to the 6 demo's used to sift through and decide upon. You can bet they attempted at least 2 or 3 additional Stevie demos. They must keep outtakes under extreme lockdown nowadays.
