Lindsey Buckingham Interview

My interview with Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham from a couple of years ago. We talked new albums, Stevie Nicks‘ feud with Sheryl Crow, etc. Apologies for the audio quality.

Yeah, that was kinda awkward, and uh, weird. :shrug: But, still, a great interview. Nice to hear someone go beyond just the same old questions, and it was neat hearing him talk about his kids too :xoxo:

Hey Dee,

I got a chuckle, because Lindsey does say that he doesn't talk on the phone much, which lends some credence to Stevie's little Gypsy intro. I didn't really believe her. It seems to me he -- he might not like talking on the phone, but he seems like the type that once he gets on the horn, it's hard to get him off. I mean, I would guess his phone conversations are longer than they have to be, even if they are few and far between.

I noticed that too! Hysterical. She's got him pegged, I'd say. She must call him and ask him why he never calls. LOL. Oh, and when he said he didn't talk to his family in Northern Cal much, it reminded me of the Tusk doc when he said he hadn't talked to his mother in a long time and Stevie said he thought it had been about a month. :laugh:

What's stevie's gypsy intro? As in during the recent tour? That story was so long I forget what it was about other than San Fran.

She started making it a point to say that it was Bob who called her to join Fritz, not Lindsey since he is not good at phone calls...then, or now. LOL. I of course loved the review from their last show in NZ when she got to that part and LB walked over to her, insisted he did call her and later added he kissed her too and gave her a kiss. :laugh:

Yes, Stevie said even though Lindsey is the one she first met, he is not the one who called her 2 years later

It also reminded me of that interview about 20 years ago where she said that if she called Lindsey, when he found out it was her he would just hang up the phone.

The way he used the phone in those (staged) Bass Hall dvd calls and the way he quickly called Tony on DR and said, "It's Lindsey," like he called him 20 times a day, I kind of thought he wasn't as adverse to phone use as Stevie said. But I guess she can be trusted sometimes!

Those were staged? Michele, you ruined it for me. I thought he still used corded phones. :lol:
