I just saw the website come up in clippings and I when I saw the chords, I thought some guitarists here might be interested.

You know, I sure would like to know what the circumstances and story are behind I Sing For The Things.

There's that up-tempo version that sounds very much like an optimistic love song, here (what a vocal!):

And then there's what got recorded for Rock A Little. Equally dedicated, but resigned rather than yearning.

I prefer the outtake, with it's spontaneous energy and those piano licks. Great song. The last minute is pure gold.

I'm rather fond of the piano demo:

Wow. This is really nice, never heard it before. The song is best slow and this stripped version really allows her vocal to plead through, making it simply wonderful.

I've never heard this version before either, really beautiful! That vocal sounds pre RAL to me...BD or WH era perhaps? Anyone know when the song was written?

That vocal is from a reel recorded in 1980. There's an early verison of Gypsy titled 'velvet undergound' from the same reel.

Thanks! I had a feeling it was from that era. While I love the RAL vocal also, there's a huge difference between the two.
