Collection of Edge of Seventeen RAL wails

I just uploaded this video. It's not an amazing "video" but I just wanted to upload a bunch of EOS RAL era wails onto one video, because the rock a little tour was so...rocking! I love these wails...they are from 31 different shows. Take a look!

I love what she says at the very end of the video. There's something so sad and adorable about RAL Stevie.

Me too. :) Sometimes she makes me laugh, but then I feel guilty for laughing...like the 2nd wail in this video. I cracked up the first time I heard it.

Anyway, I thought it would be nice to include one of Stevie's goodbyes to close out the end of the video. Thanks for noticing!

Funny I just posted this in the demos thread but this is a great one live from Woodstock 98'.

Edit: My bad, these are suppose to be from RAL but oh well. Still worth a listen.

Please tell me what you think is sad about Stevie during the RAL tour. She didn't appear the slightest bit sad, in fact she seemed full of life and spontaneity.

Maybe it's just how she was killing herself that makes it seem sad...

I didn't mean to suggest that she wasn't wild or amazing back then. Rock a Little is one of my favourite eras, but we know that she wasn't always happy in this period - Stevie's said so in interviews herself. In one of the MTV interviews in 1991, she stated that she was unhappy, she felt 'trapped' by the confines of the 'male-oriented music industry' and on top of all that, she was killing herself with drugs. Maybe it's just me, but yeah...there is something bittersweet about this era. The performances were incredible, but there are a little difficult to watch in hindsight.

EDIT - I found the interview. Here's the link:

Thanx for taking the time to do this. I totally enjoyed listening to it. Brought back my RAL memories, which were some of the best Stevie show's that I have ever seen.

I don't think you can go rely a 1991 interview. And Stevie lies in interviews anyway. She was terribly unhappy with having to include SIAB in Timespace, and that's not exactly coming through loud and clear in this 1991 clip.

I find her post-Klonopin interviews to be some of her better ones, because she displays clarity and seems to be able to put all the experiences into perspective. She doesn't cry as much about her 'unhappiness' as a beautiful, wealthy decadent rock princess in the 70's and 80's these days, if at all. If there is anything that she seems to be unhappy about, it's that she can't remember the decade when she was in her forties and that she can't permanently shake those 30 pounds that comes and goes since then.
