Florence Welch sings The Chain!

Did anyone see this?

Apparantly, Florence sang 'The Chain' tonight at Glastonbury festival in the UK, but I missed it on TV. I'm hoping it pops up on YouTube at some point soon...

Apparantly she mentioned her love for Fleetwood Mac and how influenced she is by the all of the members. If her clothes are anything to go by, I'd say Stevie was definately a major influence...

Did anyone in the UK catch this performance? Or know where to watch it online...?

Oh my god! :D That's SO awesome!! I hope it pops up on YT or BBC iPlayer :D

Oh my God. This really better show up somewhere!!

Also, how long have I been saying that Florence needed to cover an FM song?!

Can you imagine her doing her own arrangement of Dreams? I'd die. I think her voice is just absolutely perfect for that song, and she'd really breathe some new life into it.

I think she'd do a kick ass Rhiannon or Gypsy too. With the harp and full string section that is The Machine.

Fleetwood Mac is also now a trending topic in the UK on Twitter

I'm glad you guys are excited - I couldn't believe it! My friend is there tonight and she held up the phone so I could hear it and it sounded AMAZING!!

This had better turn up soon; I NEED to see it! :blob1:

In the mean time, I did find this little quote:

"I'm pretty obsessed with Stevie Nicks from her style to her voice. I like watching her on YouTube and her old performances, the way she moves and everything."

Marissa likes this.

One more F+TM cover dream before I stop drooling...Edge of Seventeen. Can you imagine how dark and dramatic it would be?

Oh hell yes! I think You Make Loving Fun could be good too but Stevie's songs would suit her FRIGGEN AMAZING voice best.

Speaking of Chris songs, I have this really weird fantasy of Tegan and Sara doing Everywhere. I try not to mention it in public.

I have to admit that I've not listened to Tegan and Sara but I'm going to now, just to see.

Genius thought... in about an hour, this Glasto stuff will be on BBC3 Player and I'll camstudio it and rip the audio :blob2:

YES PLEASE!!!

p.s - Edge of Seventeen would be so awesome. Imagine the wail!

I LOVE Florence! She said she loved watching youtube vids of Stevie, she's just like us! (but with a really, really amazing voice)
I still can't get enough of her album, so good.

Ooh, I can't wait to see this. I LOVE Florence, and I've always thought she would cover a Fleetwood Mac song well, although, I always pictured her doing Gold Dust Woman xD
