Google Trends

Like it or not, looks like that performance with Taylor Swift really peaked interest in our beloved Stevie... more so than the announcement of the FM tour, or any other event/release/interview in recent years...

Hey you know- really we'll take any kind of publicity and anything she gets!!!!

That really shouldn't surprise anyone. Stevie doing something on her own will only raise the interest of those who already know who she is. But when she teams up with someone who is currently hot on the charts fans of that person (in the case Taylor Swift) will naturally be curious as to who this Stevie Nicks person is. Like or not Stevie is not on most people's radar anymore. The mass public would most likely ask "Is Stevie Nicks even still around??" In fact I talked with people who said they were surprised that they "pulled Stevie out of the mothballs" to perform. Believe it or not there are also people who have no clue that Stevie has ever done solo albums! They only know her as being in Fleetwood Mac.

Just curious, what is the y-axis of the graph measured in? BTW- similar search of Fleetwood Mac shows a much higher rate. Also, there is a late 2009 spike for FM that isn't labeled... what is that, end of the tour or something?

I can see United States as the largest trend, but New Zealand as the second largest? That was surprising.

I was surprised to see Tampa listed as the second highest search by city...right behind Phoenix. I knew there were some Stevie fans around here. lol
