Your top 5 Stevie album tracks

Hey guys,

I was singing along LOUDLY to Think About It in the car earler and got to thinking it would be cool to do this survey... so what are your top 5 Stevie album (non single) tracks? I'll allow B-sides to singles in there!

1. Think About It (I just LOVE this! I think it could have been absolutely huge if it had been released properly and not just a B-side)

2. Enchanted. (This could have done really well. The E-Street band were huge at the time and I think it could have been really radio friendly. A better choice of single than Nightbird?)

3. Nothing Ever Changes. ("I wear boots all summer long...)

4, Fall From Grace. (The single that never was! This could have been huge! It would have brought Stevie bang up to date with a killer rock song that could have done well on the mainstream charts, on the rock one and the dance one with some great remixes. A shame this didn't happen...)

5. Sister Honey. (Just a great big lump of cheesy, coked-out fun!)

I love Imperial Hotel. So much energy and angst, and it would be so much fun live if Stevie could sustain the energy on stage. OK, so technically this was released as a promo single in the US and Australia.

Enchanted, I have to agree with. It's always been one of my favorites.

The Highwayman seems largely disliked by a majority of the fan base - but I love it.

One of the best songs of Stevie's from the 90's is Street Angel. For a long time, I though it was rather odd but eventually it grew on me to become one of favorites.

It would be fun if Stevie, when remastering and re-releasing Rock A Little, included a bonus disc that was basically what the Mirror Mirror album might have turned out to be. And in that vein, the song Mirror Mirror is hands-down a favorite of mine. I first heard it on a demo cassette I got in 1989 from an ad in the back of Rolling Stone. It was identical to the version on the b-side of the Blue Denim single. Now if only she'd get it out on a CD!

absolutely! (Hence the screen name, LOL)

*goes through the hundreds of Stevie songs she has....*

alrighty, guys.....my list: easily the hardest thing i've ever had to do...so i just picked my most played:

1. Planets of the Universe - i thought this was rather interesting, seeing as i like the demo version better, of course!
2. Long Way to Go - the strongest track from OSOTM
3. Whenever I Call You "Friend" - does this count? LOL i adore this song sooo much!
4. That MadeMe Stronger - not sure why not that many people like this song!
5. How Still My Love - classic, just.....amazing

I found that the songs that i listen to the most were from albums that i don't listen to in their entirety very often. For example:

# of times I've listened to OSOTM completely: 367
# of times I've listened to Street Angel completely: 923

OMG....i so need a life!

1.Enchanted
2. Cry Wolf
3. Trouble in Shangri-La
4. After The Glitter Fades
5.Sister Honey/Bella Donna

i find this quite interesting, as Stevie didn't write the song herself, and many many people hate it - good to know there are Wolf lovers out there!

I refuse to do this. It would be like picking my favourite children :distress:.

bella donna
trouble in shangri la
blue denim

Artemis 05-20-2010 05:23 PM

Picking 5 is awful xD I'll give it a go though!

1) How Still My Love
2) Outside The Rain
3) Nothing Ever Changes
4) Beauty and The Beast
5) Fall From Grace

Bella Donna, Kind Of Woman, I Will Run To You, Wild Heart, No Spoken Word, Long Way To Go, Greta, Love Changes and Trouble In Shangri-La were all very close to being on the list too! But those 5 are my current favourite album tracks.
