This CD is for sale on eBay, made in West Germany. I was wondering if anyone knows if the sound quality is better than the US and UK releases and re-releases.

The sound on those CDs (and iTunes and The Divine Stevie Nicks) are all so ridiculously low. Any chance this sounds any better?

It was YEARS ago when I first heard a copy of this but I can't recall who I know had it. I'm almost certain the quality is the same as the US release. I think I would have remembered if it was better. I remember Bella Donna was average, Wild Heart was lower than average but MIRAGE was the absolute worst. That one seriously needs a re-issue.

Thanks for the info, Travis. Yeah, "Straight Back" is about as bad as recording levels can get, huh? Maureen Loftus' bootlegs of "Straight Back" have almost better sound quality! ;)

Back in the early days of the CD format, most CDs sold in America were pressed in Germany, so I would not consider the country of origin to be of much consequence. I have a German pressing of WH (from the mid 80's), and from what I can tell, the sound levels/quality are pretty low...
