Stevie on Maria Vidal Album

The Bob Dylan thread prompts me to ask about Stevie's vocals on the Maria Vidal album of 1987 (1986?). Maria sings background on "I Can't Wait", of course, and Stevie is credited as singing on her album as well.

I assume the album is long out of print, so can anyone post the song(s) that Stevie sings on?

I remember seeing the CD at a record show in Austin in 1987, and the dealer had it in the Stevie bin saying she was on it. However, I was very poor and chose to spend my money on Almanac instead (duh!). And, through the years, I've never gone back to pick up that CD.

Anyone have it?

According to an older thread it's the song "Life On The Train".
.......but I don't have it, because that's what you were asking *facepalm*

This is another track that I just don't hear her on!! I'll see if I can post it.

I just tried to load the CD and for some reason my computer doesn't see it. The disc I have is a copy someone made me years ago of the original CD. I tried though!!! Sorry. Hopefully someone else has the disc.

Yeah, I had this on cassette years ago and I could never hear any of her vocals on it. They must be low in the mix. Sad.

Thanks for posting!

I dunno, those vocals at the beginning kinda do sound like Stevie there in the mix.

But maybe not.

I have the album. I bought it from Goldmine magazine a few years ago. I have listened and listened and I don't hear Stevie at all on any of the songs.

I agree, that is the only point on the song where I could possibly think I heard Stevie. It's hard to work out who is wailing - it is a Stevie speciality though...

EDIT
Thinking about it, that Stevie caterwauling thing that she does so well is similar to the Devil Wind backing vocals that she did for Bob Welch. Short but distinctively Stevie (only in this case obviously not so distinctive).

Actually the whole album isn't that bad if you don't mind that 80's pop.
