Stevie Nicks Adds Initial Summer Dates

STEVIE NICKS ADDS INITIAL SUMMER DATES
KSHE 95 = REAL ROCK RADIO: "STEVIE NICKS ADDS INITIAL SUMMER DATES

5/13/2010

Stevie Nicks has announced three East Coast summer dates for late August -- August 25th in Verona, New York at the Event Center At Turning Stone Resort Casino; August 27th in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the Mark G. Etess Arena; and August 28th in Mashantucket, Connecticut at MGM Grand At Foxwoods. Although no other dates have been posted, more shows are expected to be announced.

After six years of massive hits with Fleetwood Mac, 1981's Bella Donna solidified her position as a major mover in '80s rock. Nicks says that she hopes that her decades of singing, writing and performing have helped inspire future generations of women to do the same: 'I hope that I'm a part of the reason why they make music, you know? I always wanted to be inspirational to other singers, and I wanted to be a success story for women where they could say, 'Well, she made it. I could make it, too.' It seems that somehow I've managed to do that. I never really tried to do that, but it seems that that has happened.'

Nicks has been recording a joint project with the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart. Little is known about the joint set except for the fact that violinist Ann Marie Calhoun has contributed to some tracks. There's been no word as to when new album will be released."

WHOO-HOOO! So it's OFFICIAL, she's TOURING! :]

And I think it's also worth celebrating that there's now a bio of Stevie out there that doesn't include the phrase "mystical chanteuse image." ;)

I'm also very happy that she's working on a joint project -
looks like she's getting back to her roots. :wavey:

She really needs to tour "properly" and come to countries other than the US, Australia or New Zealand - there's a big world out there and I still haven't been able to see a solo live Stevie show! Boo! ;)

"I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali. I'm going back to Cali -hm I don't think so" sings Stevie. Get your ass out here woman and announce some CA dates!

Hello? Stevie? Hi :) This is Georgie. I love you. Please come to the UK, even just London. I'd travel the 5 hours to see you. Muchos Love.

I hope everyone who gets to see her has a wonderful time :D

Wow.....she truly has become nothing more than a greatest hits/tribute/retro act.
So sad.
