Meaning behind Stevie's pyramid necklace?

I've seen several threads discussing the meaning of Stevie's moon necklace, and even one that mentioned the significance of "3" and how that plays into the pyramid, but none specifically on the pyramid. Does anyone have any more depth as to what the pyramid signifies and why the number three is important?

The only thing that comes to mind for me is the Tri-Force from Zelda *nerd alert* Which signifies power, courage, and wisdom. Could mean something like that?

I love Zelda! Haha, I wonder if Stevie is a secret games nerd?
Actually on second thoughts.. We know what she's like with technology, so probably no. Ha!

Symbolically, equilateral triangles are generally associated with the number 3, a number which is often used in spiritual practices to represent the divine (the holy trinity for example) or the three planes of existence.
Due to the equal length of its sides and angles, it is often seen as the 'ideal'; a symbol of perfection and balance. It appears prominently in Tarot imagery as well, most notably on the card entitled 'Temperance' - a card denoting gentility, balance and alchemy.

This thread also reminded me of something Stevie said in the Rolling Stone interview from 1980. I'll copy and paste it here:

'Halloween is her favorite night of the year, and although she can't explain the coincidences, certain symbols and words constantly crop up in her life. One of those words is Maya, also known as the Shakti goddess Devi, who represents in Hindu the illusory world of the senses...'
"I dreamed that I saw, against a background of blue, a white vertical line, which was me holding a bird," Stevie explains. "At five in the morning I called up Paul Fishkin [her former boyfriend, and founder with Danny Goldberg of her label, Modern Records]. I described to him the image, which became the front cover, and then the one on the back where I've picked up the tambourine and the roses, and I'm looking through the crystal tambourine, which symbolizes a porthole, to see the sorrows of the world. I love the symbolism of the three roses, which is very pyramid, very Maya."

Hope this is helpful.

Just wanted to throw three things out there:

Numero uno: There's three "birds of Rhiannon."

Numero Two: It's been mentioned a few times in here that the diamond ring Stevie often wears has three diamonds on it.

Numero 3: ........... :)

I always thought the diamond '3' she'd gotten from a friend for the success of BD LP at the time because it sold 3 million? Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!!:thumbsup:

You may very well be right.

:)

I personally didn't know about the ring until somebody posted pictures of her on her trip to Melbourne, Australia for that horse race. But of course, the Internet didn't really exist back then (as such) and I probably wouldn't have noticed it. It may be
that she was wearing it all that time but people didn't really notice it until the technology improved.

I think Starshine is talking about the diamond 3 pendant that you can see in an early BD interview, as well as on the cover for the BD HBO concert poster (just a little peak).

Stevie also wears the diamond "3" necklace in the Gypsy video - at the end where she is dancing through the enchanted forest with the pink-lighted hair, after she twirls around and sings "and it all comes down to you" and points at the camera- I know everyone is looking at her face, but look at her cleavage, you'll see the diamond 3!

OH! I thought she meant the ring. My bad!

Anyway clearly we have the number "3" floating around here a lot! :)

It's some kind of birds of Rhiannon thing.

Here's this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triad

And if you link around, you'll probably find that book she read.
