Iron Man 2...
I'm giving the film an 8 out of 10. I gave the first an 8.5 (or 9). The first film slightly edges this one out, for me.
Don Cheadle was a good replacement for Howard (Rhodey) and his screen time was kept down enough so as to not steal the show. I was at 1st worried about Scarlet's character, who is never referred to as the Black Widow, and that the film would end up too busy; as has often been done with Batman movies. Downey Jr is back as Tony Stark and just as enjoyable to watch as he was in the 1st film. I even got a a "Stark Industries" beanie upon leaving the theater! http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4034/...d5b58855f0.jpg And yes, stay around to the end of the credits... ;) |

I'll see it on Netflix though I'm sure. Even if only to see Scarlett Johansson. |
Scary? How?

And since most sequels aren't as good as the first movie (as you said in your review), that means I might dislike it even more. But I'm sure it will get Netflixed* by me, if just for the sound. (* I own the copyright of the word Netflixed) |
Heh heh... well then you might wanna give this one a "pass" if you didn't enjoy the first movie. I was never an Iron Man "fan" growing up and reading comic books... but I dig Robert Downey Jr. and he made the movie "work" for me.

Speaking of Iron Man, has anyone seen Mickey Rourke's interviews
(Leno, Letterman)? He's one crazy cat. I think he'd jack you if you said the wrong thing to him. |
Mickey was great in "The Wrestler." He was... underused in Iron Man 2. :distress:

I wanna see it next weekend! I loved the first one and the good reviews sound like a good sign to me.
