Country ‘Rumours’ album – who would you like on it?

So it looks like there’s gonna be an upcoming ‘Rumours’ tribute by country artists.

Who would you like to be on it, and performing which songs?

I have a hunch Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will want to appear. They’re both known to be FM fans.

Maybe Keith Urban for ‘Go Your Own Way’?

There's a possibility that when Mick said Stevie is recording a country version of Rumours he could have meant she is recording a solo album of country songs in the format of Rumours style songs. Not necessarily a Rumours re-release with country artists.

It's hard for me to believe that only stevie Nicks would be behind the production of a Rumours based product.

Just sayin'...

Not Taylor Swift, that's for sure.

Won't be buying if it happens........I DETEST country. My hate for it burns like a billion suns:nod:

hmm. i can stand a little Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, and of course, since we are talking about Stevie, we can assume Sheryl will be on it, right?

Well I think Keith should do Never Going Back Again because he does that in concert and I'd love to have that officially recorded for posterity.

WOULD LOVE TO BE ON THE ALBUM:
Iris Dement
Dolly Parton
Big Blue Hearts (who I think are influenced by Law and Order-era Lindsey)
Bekka Bramlett
Brad Paisley
Keith Urban
Ray Scott

Wouldn't mind at all:

Kenny Chesney
Dierks Bentley
Loretta Lynn
Gretchen Wilson
Some hot guy who did a lovely homage to MJ that was on YouTube (really good singer, but can't remember his name; don't own any of his work)
Miley Cyrus
Taylor Swift (note the order I put those two names--I'm LOOOVING Miley's new song; sue me)
and I know the kids are loving Lady Antebellum so I would be fine with that

And country-haters need to get real. You hate country but you love Bella Donna?

I'm not SYW's biggest fan. My favourite tracks are Bleed to Love her and Steal Your Heart Away. First person to get why gets a cookie!!

Maybe he meant that, but that is not what he said...

"There will be another version of 'Rumous,' with some fairly well-known country artists,"

mylittledemon 04-25-2010 06:04 PM

I like what Little Big Town did w/ Buckingham on CMT Crossroads... so it's be nice to hear them do The Chain. :D
