I asked the seller who the manfacturer is of the strap

"Hello there, thank you for the nice comments on my guitar. It is a real Beauty.
The Guitar strap is made by Levys. I asked Lindsey that question when he was signing my guitar and He said "Levys, i believe. Are you looking one" I said yes and he walked over to his model 1 and took it off it and gave it to me. I was completely blown away.."

I wonder why this guy is selling it?!

Cos there a new wee baby coming into the Grant residence, and wifey is sayin somethin has got to go. I secretly hope it dosent sell.

Notice how I posted so few pictures and used no colour or highlighting in my advert, in order to get as little attention as possible.Wifey is panicing a bit thinkin were gonna needs more money for this baby comin along but I reckon we'll be fine.

Thanks for telling me the reason. I hope it doesn't sell, either :) I couldn't imagine telling my husband that he had to get rid of something like this. We would have to be completely broke! Congratulations on the baby, though. Just wondering, what is your wife selling that belongs to her???

Well I offered it as an option because something has to give, funny thing is i dont think we really need the money at all.
Im actually going to get new strings for it this afternoon so I can play it this weekend, the current strings are completely done.

Wifey never really wants for much unlike me, so she hasnt really got anything to sell.

Whats the story on the fleetwood mac front / Lindsey buckingham front lately its all a bit dead since the tour ended. I'd love a new band or solo album. I'd take anything at this stage.
I havent been on the ledge in yonks, its gets real quiet round here when the mac arent doing anything.

We haven't really heard much. Stevie is working on songs with Dave Stewart from Eurythmics. No one knows if it's for her album or his. She has a concert in Atlantic city soon, forgot the date, it's on the Stevie thread. Mick is soon touring with Mick Fleetwood Blues Band. It was posted recently that Mick mentioned something about FM being on break for 18 months. I have no idea what Lindsey is working on, if anything.
About your money situation, it's funny how two people can see money in different ways....

Ah Jesus man, I really hope it doesn't sell, the money would be nice indeed, but I know how much that guitar means to you, :( that said, congrats, I can imagine a kid would mean a nice bit more :woohoo: (didn't you once tell me you'd rather part with one of your balls before the old Turner?) :p

First off, the guy will never sell it for that price. a) Because it's a lefty... b) well, it's signed "To Paul" ... and c) he wants $12,000 US for it? $12k would be the price you'd get for a Model 1 that BELONGED to Buckingham.

Even if we figure the guitar cost 4-5k (tops)... This guy thinks Buckingham's signature and his guitar strap is worth another 7k!? :shocked: In fact, the signature alone is great (and I'm sure authentic) but under certain circumstances the item is often devalued by a signature, especially when's there no proof of it. The seller would probably have better luck removing the "to Paul" part himself.

Maybe that's the point ;) The evidence is there that it's on eBay. If it doesn't sell... Whoops, guess it'll have to stay :rolleyes: What a shame.

That's exactly what I'd do in the situation. I only have one signed item by my idol Debbie Harry and if forced to sell it, I'd list it at $55 rather than the $5 I paid for it. That way, it wouldn't sell and there's nothing that can be done :p

Well, you are all actually right, yes its way over priced, as far as i know Ed roman sold a LB pre owned M1 about 5 years ago for arounf $17k.
Its just there for a few days, to say i tried....

as Butter Cookie says It will turn out to be a perfect case of:
