Sharon and Lori - Later Albums

Now, I know Sharon and Lori are credited as appearing on all of Stevie's solo albums, and I really notice them on Bella Donna and the Wild Heart, in particular. I can still hear them occasionally on Rock A Little...but I can't seem to find them at all on The Other Side Of The Mirror, Street Angel and Trouble In Shangri-La.

Are there any tracks on those albums where the two of them are really noticeable? I've probably just missed / forgot them xD

Really? I thought it was Sarah McLachlan that did all the bg vocals on this one?

Nathan 04-17-2010 02:37 AM

Lori and Sharon are all over everything she's ever done. Ridonk.

I always liked Stevie using her own background vocals than Sharon and Lori on her albums.

Sharon and Lori are prominent on "Ghosts" as well. The harmonies on this track are quite gorgeous.

I Thought the same until...

Their harmonies are so tight, known, perfect and together they make it almost seem like 1 perfect vocal...Ghosts Center Tracks reveal that and Destiny Live as well as If Any One Falls Live (lately esp at the end) shows them as a totally well balanced vocal. I remember the Wild Heart Tour Boots where (prob the insane lifestyle of these rock n roll girls) where Stand Back and EDGE vocals were not so perfect...kind of shreeeeeeeeeeeeky. Anyone think the same? Also with digital mixing they are blended even more so into a single perfect vocal. I know my voiceover work the bring out my "gravity" which is my special part of my voice for work...I'm known for it so they inhance it even more. Sometimes I'm like, "wait...I had total sinus that day! Anyone agree on the Stevie part with me?

Sharon ruins Stand Back at that US Fest show! But that show was so huge - I'm thinking it was just because it would be harder to get the sound right for everyone at a mic.

Funny Story!

When I first met my partner years ago...he quickly succumbed to the fact that I totally own the music in the car especially. Well we got off to a rocky start and I was helping him one night when he was in a rough altered state of mind. Anyway, as we were in the car driving he was still paranoidish so I put on my cds. Sara, cleaning lady was in mid play and the soothing vocals and beat calmed him a bit until Sharon screeched at the top of her lungs, HEARTBEAT!!!

The poor bastard almost catapulted thru the sunroof!
Ha!

I really notice them on "Alice" on OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR.
