Telephone-Lady Gaga New Video

daniellaaarisen 03-12-2010 02:22 AM

I've watched it ten thousand times already. So awesome. So, so, SO awesome.

Some of my disjointed thoughts after watching-

1. There were some parts when it felt like she was just trying to be controversial.

2. Product placement

3. I kind of liked the Kill Bill theme and the dance routine at the end.

4. Could have done without so much Beyowulf.

2) i think this explains the product placement:

4) BEYOWULF. haven't heard that one before.

God she's so desperate for attention. Just look at the ridiculous outfits she wears in public.

Why does almost every video anymore have to feature all the women almost undressed, but men fully dressed? It annoys me to no end. I wish everyone would put their clothes back on and return to it being about a singer's voice, not her body.

Style over substance …

FMlex 03-12-2010 10:56 AM

gag.

ten.

JohnL 03-12-2010 11:17 AM

Ugh...

yawn!! Neither the video nor the song do anything for me at all.

ButterCookie 03-12-2010 11:25 AM

Uh... I watched Lady Gaga get naked then walk about in her studded underwear for 3 minutes before I heard any music?

What?

hayley 03-12-2010 11:27 AM

Hahahaha, I loved it. Love the Pussy Wagon particularly.

Hey, I think I've finally figured out Lady GaGa's shtick.

(Wears dress made entirely out of Kermit puppets)
"Look at me, I'm weird!"

(Tells everyone that she's a hermaphrodite)
"Look at me, I'm shocking!"

(Appears in music video in her underwear)
"Look at me, I'm edgy!"

(Writes a song that contains long segments of her chanting "Rumma-aaarr-rungaaa-rarraghh-garrararrhar" with her mouth full of marbles)
"Look at me, I'm weird and artsy!"

(Achieves mainstream success)
"Look at me, normal people love me!"

(Wears another outfit that looks like she covered herself in glue and ran through Jo-Ann's Fabrics)
"Look at me, I'm different! Can't you see I'm not like the other girls? Huh? Huh!"

(Performs duet with Elton John at the Grammies)
"Look at me! Even gay guys admire me! What do they see in me?"

(Writes and produces her own songs)
"Look at me, I'm talented! Sure, I'm just trying to make white people dance, but I did it myself! Yaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!"

Well then. That just wasted 10 minutes of my life that I will never get back. I like the song... but as usual the music video is just too out there for me to enjoy.

I'm pretty sure that's the most coherent I've ever seen her. (In the video that Carrie posted.)
