I sorta hate to do this but...
I think that Stevie and Taylor could've much better pulled off this song:
and maybe followed by Landslide. It would've (maybe) been better... Anyone else think a different song choice would've made for a better performance? |

Yeah, one without Taylor Swift. |
Yeah i agree. With different song choices this could have gone over pretty well
Breathe would've been good (You Belong With Me is best song with someone like Miley Cyrus not Stevie Nicks) and i really dont like Today Was a Fairytale...today was a fairytale you were the prince, i used to be a damsel in distress (wtf?) i've listened to taylor's songs and i know that she can write a better line than that :distress: |
No doubt song selection was a big mistake here, almost like they pulled it all together at the last min.

I think this would have been better...
Pink and Stevie start singing "If you ever did believe..." Stevie sings lead, Pink sings Sheryl Crow's backing part. Then at the end of "If you ever did believe..." where it says "Baby, don't leave me..." it would be a great way to transition into Pink's song "Please Don't Leave Me" which is more upbeat, and Pink could sing lead, while Stevie played tambo during the verses and backing vocals during the chorus. As you can tell, I am still pissed she didn't perform with Pink, but I think it would have been amazing! |

The only way Taylor can sing is with help from Pro Tools. It's not criticizing, it's fact. But, hey she's got a great career going for her and she is not the first, nor will she be the last artist to be successful without having real chops. It's ok. Seriously. Consider if they had done lip synching instead. We all know Mama is awful at that. So, at least Stevie came out looking good or gaining public sympathy from the performance. Rock on.
