Another good show bites the dust (Ugly Betty)

Any one else a fan of the show? I’m really surprised that Ugly Betty is not being renewed. It’s funny and smartly written.

:distress: My other too-soon-gone favs:

1. Party of Five (all time fav! My fantasy was to live in the Salinger household, and they change the show’s title to ‘Party of Six’)

2. American Dreams (love the 1960’s)

3. My So-Called Life (Claire Danes was great).

What do you regret that's off the air?

I really miss Daria...from back when MTV showed things other than Teen Moms and "fist pumps"

Stark Raving Mad

Twin Peaks

X-Files (but, granted, it kind of ran its course)

Threshold

The West Wing (would've liked to have seen it continue showing Jimmy Smit's term(s) )

I hope Betty gets her braces off before the series finale.

I miss Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Pee Wee's Playhouse and Match Game (especially when most of the celebs were drunk).

Those old Match Game episodes were great!! Even the 1998 version (with Michael Burger as host and regulars/semi-regulars Vickie Lawrence, Nell Carter, George Hamilton, John Salley, and occasionally Coolio, with Judy Tenuta in Charles Nelson Reilly's spot) were pretty good, too.

PeeWee was great, too! {insert PeeWee giggle here}

Yes!! God, I could start a whole West Wing thread because I love that show so much. I think showing the dynamic between Santos (Smits) and Vinivk (Alan Alda) wouyld have brilliant, with him as secretary of state and a Republican yet with Santos as a Democratic president. Plus, I just miss that standard of writing (thought it wasnever the same after Sorkin left anyway, the start of season 5, uughhh!)

I also wish they hadn;t canelled Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip after only one season - wtf?! Bring back Without A Trace too.

Let show the love for The West Wing!!! My bf and I watch all seven seasons every couple of months. It is without a doubt, my favorite show, ever.

When I get drunk I start to quote John Lyman. I have a very delicate system.

At my old job, I put a sign outside my office that read Steam Pipe Trunk Distribution Venue. No one got it.
