How About Taylor Swift As Stevie?

Now, I'm not a big fan, but I was watching the Haiti telethon, and it just hit me.....I think she could pull it off!

HejiraNYC 01-25-2010 07:37 PM

Um... maybe if the girl shrank a foot in height and took singing lessons.

By the way... am I the only who was completely floored by Jennifer Hudson's version of "Let it Be?" Jeebus!

Too squinty.

Is that what it is, something about her seems "off". maybe thats it.

DeeGeMe 01-25-2010 08:37 PM

Her eyes are really, really, really far apart--I think that's what gives her that odd look.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks she can't sing!

GypsyBlueEyes 01-25-2010 08:51 PM

There is no way she could pull it off. I know a lot of people like her and I do think she's a sweet girl, but as far as being a singer/songwriter, I just don't get what all the fuss is about. She doesn't even compare to Stevie. Also, Stevie was a sex symbol and that would have to come across in the performance...there is nothing about Taylor that says sex symbol.

She's also got that... I don't know, sorority snot country-bumpkin wannabe look. Usually it's the other way around, which makes it even weirder. :p

Why not have Jennifer Hudson do it? HAHAHAHAHA

I personally feel that it will have to be a newcomer that is not a singer. Like the Precious girl. They have to be a very good lip singer.

Macfanforever 01-25-2010 10:15 PM

She's cute, at 20 ,I'm old enough to be her dad,but her voice don't sound like Stevie's ,but check out Sarah Buxton, she's 29 and Stevie is one of her idols, also Paulette Carlson of Highway 101, she's 57,also she looks like Stevie and sounds like her too.ok who was the young country singer that made a comment about Stevie?was it her or Carrie Underwood,

I think that at the end of the day, whoever they get to play Stevie (if there is a movie), I won't like them.

I don't like it when people try to recreate someone who is that amazing and wonderful that they just cannot be recreated.

Fiver 01-26-2010 03:46 AM

I'd kinda prefer an unknown.. Also, not only does the person casted need to somewhat resemble Stevie Nicks.. they also have to be able to act and (if they don't go the lip-syncing route) sing.

My sympathies to the casting director, if this ever gets made.

ButterCookie 01-26-2010 01:22 PM

She looks like a mouse.

Stevie does not.

Yeah...Stevie is one that can never be recreated ...I agree ....cause NO ONE IS like her...she's too unique.
