Shower doors or shower curtain?
In the morning a handyman is coming to take out the bedeveled glass shower doors in my bathroom. I have lived here for three years and I am so glad to finally get rid of them. They are in very good condition but I can't wait to hang my pretty curtain (with colorful flowers) up in its place.
I prefer a curtain because I can change it whenever I feel like it to create a different look. It also makes the room feel larger and it is much easier to keep clean. I always buy see thru shower curtains for the larger room experience. What about the rest of you Ledgies? Which do you prefer? Also if you think this thread is stupid, kindly keep it to yourself and spare me the snarky comments please. |
I'm not against shower curtains. There's some pretty ones and they can really add to the decor in a bathroom but I like glass shower doors as well. I just use Comet Spray cleaner on them and the entire bathroom and it keeps the doors so clean and bath.

Oh isn't that funny... I've considered glass doors for years. Why? Because I thought they'd make the tiny bathroom look larger. :D But the maintenance is a real turn off for me. And I would never buy one of those autosprayer jobbies. What a hoot. BB and B has a beautiful lace trimmed mocha colored curtain I've been drooling over for months. Bottom line, I must stay with curtains because I bathe my newish little doggie in the tub and a door would make that even harder than it already is.
And I thought I was the only one who contemplated replacing the shower covering for years. |
I like shower doors better, because in the morning when I get in the shower the curtain is always blowin on into my washin area or is blowing outward andis making all the warm air go out. So why not trap it all in w/ a door...lol
Even though you can get really creative w/ curtains like have a periodic table on them...lol |
Vinyl shower curtains all the way, baby!
Mine is covered with penguins. The penguins? Have googly eyes. YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT. GOOGLY EYES. It is awesome. But even when they don't have googly-eyed penguins on them, I still prefer vinyl shower curtains, because you can throw them in the washing machine with a junky towel, and it gets rid of all the soap scum or any mildew that might collect. Gotta use the towel, though, cos it acts as a scrubbie thing. |
Definately curtains.

I use these curved shower curtain rods:

Curtain here. I used to have shower doors, and it was always a bitch, getting the lime off of them. Fortunately, my HVAC ducting doesn't blow my curtain inward. It seems like it does that, in every hotel!!! I hate that!!!! "Get off of me, nasty freaking shower curtain!"

I would prefer doors but I've never lived anywhere that had them and can't see spending money on something unnecessary.
|
Doors! They keep in the heat and if there's a draft, they don't stick to your back or legs. Ohgod I hate that

I've had both but I prefer the shower curtain. As far as the liner sticking, the ones I buy have little suction cups on them, so the only thing the liner is sticking to is the wall, because, yes that would be a total problem. I also think it's easier to clean as well. Throw out the liner when needed, either wash your curtain if it's fabric, or buy a new one. Change it up every other month. Variety in the bathroom is always a good thing.
I prefer glass doors because it seems to me that curtains have a tendency to get moldy after awhile. The glass doors are easy to
clean if and when they need it.
Weekly. |
I like curatins myself. I had a friend who got seriously injured with a shower door...not weird stuff involved..lol
She slipped and landed on the tracks at the bottom. Anyway, I like the versatility of a curtain...changeable with whatever color you're into. |
I prefer shower curtains here. Just more comfortable with them I guess,
