What's in your medicine chest?

I would never snoop in someone's medicine chest, but I have to admit the thought is very tempting. I'd be afraid of getting busted in case they have it booby-trapped in some way. But the medicine chest can reveal much of the owner, right? By the way, I do hope no one is keeping any pills in their medicine chests. The humidity is supposed to be bad for them. I keep mine in one of the cabinets in the kitchen. Here's my stuff, top to bottom, left to right: Benzoil peroxide for the occasional blemish and hydrocortisone for the occasional itch Pink thing is an exfoliating kit for the feet Sample of John Varvatos cologne, never worn Bulgari Pour Homme cologne Acca Kappa White Moss cologne Davidoff Coolwater cologne Styptic pencil for nicks (shaving nicks, not Stevie Nicks) Chapstick Concealer stick Liquid bandage (you paint it on a cut, it makes a moisture proof seal, pretty cool) Alcohol swabs, urea cream (for cracked heels) Sinus rinse Ponds pore strips Band-aid bandages Hair gel Dental flosses Estee Lauder 'Re-Nutriv' cream. Smells so nice and makes the face feel good on baggy days Clinique 'Dramatically Different Moisturizer'. Wear every day! Clinique for Men shaving gel (not a huge fan of this) Gillette menthol shave cream (prefer this $0.95 brand to the $12.00 Clinique!) Eucerin Aquaphor lotion. (basically it is a thick petroleum jelly, good for dry hands) Hairbrush Speed Sticks Q-Tips Battery powered trimmer Lubriderm for dry back, knees, arms etc. very good Listerine antiseptic (this, or the blue one. Never any of their other flavors) Listerine toothpaste (if you find it, try it. Very good) Gillette razor Grooming tools, razor blades I keep my toothbrush and tongue scraper in a little stand by the sink, so they air-dry. And that's about it. Humberto's side looks much the same, with perhaps a few more skin care products. What's in your medicine chest? |

7,000 little steel balls that come falling down with a huge crashing noise that just WON'T STOP for a whole minute straight if anyone opens the door to the medicine chest. :blob2:
NAAAAH, just kidding! I saw it in a comedy movie once; found it kind of cute. I could picture that happening to me! I have the most-boring medicine chest in here, I bet. One door is missing and has been for some time, so if anyone goes in there, they're gonna be seeing it anyway. There's not much in there - toothpaste, some herbal supplement type of stuff that belongs to my Dad (Echinacea pills or something along those lines) and a whole different variety of scissors, for unexplained random reasons. That's really about it. :) P.S. - OH - And a hairbrush, of course. And a razor. |

John, you have too much **** in your medicine chest. Pare down! Travel light through life! I keep my prescription calm-downers in there. Plus I keep my baby aspirin even though I have no cardiovascular disease. |
I can't imagine you, needing calmed down, David. Really.
Me? Now that's another story. There's a touring band, that I regularly work with.....they call me Caffeine Boy. And I don't even drink any caffeine, once I wake up.:lol: |
I keep my RX calm-downers safe in the kitchen cabinet, I'm positively paranoid about losing even one of those precious little beauties to the ravages of a humid bathroom, hehe.
David here in NY you can still find Coolwater. I have even seen it in 'Duane Reade' and 'Rite-Aid', two big drug store chains. I also love their body lotion, but that was taken off the market. Some guy on eBay was selling some old stock he got his hands on, and I bought two bottles. I've gone to dozens of fragrance counters in stores, no one sells it by itself any more except a tiny bottle part of a gift set (where you also get the cologne, deodorant, shave balm, etc) |

Are you gonna come out to CA to see my Fleetwood Mac tribbie band play the casinos next spring, Dave? I always take a Xanax before we play. I don't like the feeling of playing in front of crowds when I'm unmedicated. |
Out of date Chloraseptic cough drops.

I play BETTER with a buzz. I used to play with a drummer, who'd always say, "Dave, most guys THINK they play better when they're buzzed, but they actually don't. You're the one guy that really does play better, with a buzz". I can get loose, and take it out to another level, that normally doesn't occur to me, when I'm sober. Wanna know when I have genius moments? If I'm really sick, with the flu or something. I can really venture out there melodically, then. Seriously. |
