I Passed!

I passed my licensing exam this morning. I am now much closer to be a fully licensed social worker (LCSW)! This is a major accomplishment for me for many reasons; one of them being I have somewhat severe test anxiety.

All that's left is finishing up my required hours and I've done it! Go me!

Do you have to complete the same amount of hours as an intern MFT? How many have you completed?

I'm glad to hear you passed! Congratulations! :)

I have to complete 3,000 of direct client hours. I am only at 2,000 because I don't have a full case load. I work for a non profit mental health agency as a supervisor, so I only get to do therapy part time.

Jannie, you'll make a great career therapist. Can I be a patient? I have schizo-affective disorder & post-partum hysteria. :o

Well, I have been therapizing for about 2 years now, provisionally, and I was thinking more of a Howard Hughes-esque diagnosis for you. Something eccentric and interesting. Rumor has it that Beethoven had Bipolar disorder. And unless you really ARE Cassandra, you don't have postpartum anything. ;)

Jannie I am SO excited for you! I can't wait to see all the new opportunities and insight this license will help bring you YAY!

I'm afraid to ask what I would be!:lol: I'm completely insane:]! Anyway, I am so happy for you. I know how important it is that there are peple out there like you that still give a **** about the welfare of others to get involved. My mother has done acult foster care for the last 7 years and it has been so rewarding for not only her but me also. One of the people that lives with us, Michael is a huge baseball fan like myself sp I take him to Twins games whenever I go. I'm technically working then but its not work at all when youre doing something you love. Thank you for caring about others. Although I'm not surprised knowing you!:xoxo:
