Let's identify this strange movie!
 

I seem to recall watching a strange drama as a kid; I'm not sure if it was a movie, tv show, or tv movie. It looked like it was from the 70s. The only part I can really remember is this little girl is colouring at a table, something about her mom freaking out, and long, dark hair in a kitchen sink. I -think- the kitchen was green. I'm not sure if the 'mom freaking out' thing is just a figment of my imagination, but I definitely remember the colouring and hair/sink bit. I know in 'Sybil', there's a green kitchen and a scene where she's colouring and her mom flips out and stomps on her crayons, but I don't remember anything about hair in a sink.

This sounds like Mommie Dearest (1981), the camp classic, scandalous Joan Crawford "biopic" strring Faye Dunaway. I haven't seen the film in years though so could well be wrong!

Sounded like Sybil to me too as I was reading it. But it's been so long since I've seen that movie that I don't remember for sure hair in a sink. I distinctly remember her coloring though and the kitchen being an ugly, ugly green.

it's not 'mommie dearest'. i have seen that movie a 100 times & there isn't a scene like that in it, it does remind of 'sybil' alot tho~
