Random Stevie/FM Song Hearing

The other day I'd been listening, as usual lately, to a whole heap of FM and Stevie solo songs (preparing for the FM concert in TWO SHORT WEEKS!!!!), while I was on the computer.

I came out of the room to go to the bathroom, and heard Seven Wonders floating around from outside somewhere...someone in the apartment block next to mine was playing Stevie/FM! WOO HOO! I wanted to play Seven Wonders as well, at the same time, and then had a little daydream thing of everyone within hearing distance playing it also...and it'd be amazing. Seven Wonders, playing from 20-50 houses and apartments, all at once...strangers united by Stevie! How wonderful that would be!!

I love little moments like that :)

Yesterday, I was eating breakfast at a local cafe and I was wearing my Unleashed shirt. Our waitress sees it and she says, "nice shirt.... I mean, I really like your shirt." I could tell she was a legitimate fan and was trying to supress her excitement. So I said, "Thank you! I had first row to a show of theirs in May." and THEN she let the excitement out. It was great.

Aw, that's nice. I love it when something like that happens.

It's the same sort of feeling you get when you're sort of...you're not AT a show but you're NEAR it or on your way or you're on your way back home, or you're around the same area a day later or something, and you're clearly a fan cause you're wearing the relevant t-shirt or something, and you see other random people who also have some sort of merchandise on, and you feel like they're "with you", you know? I always feel safe seeing that for some reason.

Earlier this year we went to a Dweezil Zappa concert (Frank Zappa's son, for those who don't know), and there were quite a few "rough"-looking guys there, who if I were walking down a dark city street normally and saw them coming towards me I might be a bit nervous about, but they were also wearing Dweezil Zappa t-shirts, and you feel SAFE! :)

When we went to see Stevie in Alpharetta last year, we went to this BBQ joint called SmokeJack, and we were wearing our shirts. Our waitress was actually a HUGE fan and was going to the concert and was saying how she saw the band in 1987 and all of that good stuff- so we were united!!!

Nightbird on BBC Radio 2

Suddenly out of the blue BBC Radio 2 played Nightbird this morning, and then just said Stevie Nicks Nightbird. The other day the played EO17 and last week they played Beauty and The Beast. Up until recently I have hardly heard any 'Stevie' songs on the radio - it felt so exciting.:]

My coworkers and I go to lunch together almost everyday. Last week, we walked into a local fast food restaurant and I hear Stevie singing the line, "I'm the Queen of the castle, you're the dirty rascal, crash into me." It made me smile - and I was really surprised at hearing her version...there... Awesomeness.

I posted this the other day on the rumours forum (i think) but it's so note worthy that i'm going to post it again.

The other day i was at work and was going about my boring grocery store duties when i heard Welcome to the Room... Sara playing over the speakers and i was shocked, it is really not a radio song at all and i wondered how on earth it got on there.

Needless to say i was singing along, my boss saw me and gave me a really strange look, this 18yr old six foot guy singing along to some corny 80's pop song, i was at that moment flaming red in the face
