Stevie's '95 "TIP" Interview.

Thought this was interesting, Stevie's being interviewed by Tommy Hilfiger about her style, and it shows her closet. I wonder if she still has everything she's ever worn.

Now try to picture this: In real life one day I was bored and just flipping through the channels and then I spotted this. I quickly hit record on my VCR and I taped this. A few years later when I get to see this again I realize how lucky I was that I only missed 5 seconds of this. Excellent interview.

This was from two years ago, and she claims to still have everything:

There is another recent interview where she pulls out all her original items, and compares them with their reproductions. "This isn't the original Stand Back cape... this is!"

She mentioned that she lost a few items along the way (the Bella Donna beret) but she saved most of it.

That was one of the first Stevie interviews I saw, know I'm late, lol
But I actually became a fan right after CV was made and I loved to see recent interviews by her!

And I remember in Cory's diary, she was saying that Stevie actually had a lot of her old stage costumes on tour with her and was urging Cory to try them on. Cory said she didn't want to be responsible for tearing or damaging a historic rock item.

Yeah, there have been several interviews with Stevie in her dressing rooms on her various tours where she has all that. she has at least 3 giant rolling cases where she keeps absolutely everything she's ever worn onstage. Which is weird... because you know she can't fit into 3/4 of it, it's too old to wear, or it's not part of her current "look." I've always wondered how she had the foresight to save all of that stuff, especially since she was on drugs the whole time . I know if I were a rich, crazy, drug addled rock star I would have always tossed everything I'd worn for the next up and coming new thing. I've gotta give Stevie props though, I think it's pretty amazing she's saved all of her journals, outfits, etc. I guess she's created a museum of herself, for herself! :p

I've always found this interview kind of interesting. THank you for bringing it back to our attention again!

But really what's the point of carting this **** all over the world when you're on the road? Just leave them in your mother's vault with all your demos:p until you come home.

I know I should probably already know this (fear of sounding stupid), but who is Cory?

AliceLover 11-25-2009 01:01 AM

Yeah well you gotta figure a lot of old Stevie clothes have come back on stage. Like the Red Rocks cape she wears today (the red one) and ive seen the Blue Lamp shawl out a few times. Those are both like 30 years old!

Cory is part of Fleetwood Mac's tour crew. You can always see her setting up before the show. She started working for them for the SYW tour and she would post tour updates or "journal" entries. And she also answered some of our questions.

She's Lindsey's niece. Since 2004, she has toured with Stevie solo and also with other artists.

And carrying them around like that only increases the chance that they will somehow get lost in transit. Take pictures, if you need to remember them while on the road. Michele
