They can't be called boots!

TheWILDheart 11-18-2009 07:53 AM

I know she wore these a lot during SYW.

Oh, oh. My poor English. Tell me a good name for those shoes. In Spanish, please.

They look like sneakers.
I'm wondering how the hell she found a store that sells them? Or did she just go back in time and stole them from Scary Spice?

vivfox 11-18-2009 09:08 AM

Hideous.:eek::)

they look like custom made reeboks~ i remember having a pair of reeboks in the 80's, but my sole wasn't that thick~ maybe they custom made them for her:shrug:~

They look more like platform sneakers with leather leggings resting above them. Doesn't even look like the leggings are attached. Very interesting... and UGLY!

Looks like something out of Cronenberg's remake of "The Fly" -- or one of Ed Wood's movies.

Anyone who thinks Stevie Nicks isn't still using drugs, look long & hard at that footwear. Nobody who is sober would wear THAT in front of 10,000 people.

MacMan 11-18-2009 11:44 AM

Granted the shin guards make the footwear look a little better... But yeah, not all that attractive. I still find it stunning with all her resources that she can't find someone to make her some comfy all in one boots. even if they looked similar to this two piece get-up, it would be a lot better looking then wearing reboks.

Those thick shin guards, this close almost give the impression of a tenser type band, or those thick wrap things you put around your knees because of aches and pains - is Stevie possibly suffering with arthritis on a grand scale?? That coupled with the ortho type runners almost give that impression.

yes, for the majority of the tour and for the entire TISL tour. I don't think she broke out the boots once during that tour...the beginning of the end.

Musicman408 11-18-2009 12:42 PM

Those look kind of fawkward!!!

GavinBrown 11-18-2009 12:46 PM

ugh

in 2007, she seemed to have no problem with the boots on tour...now the frankenbocks are back!!!! Somebody call Ugz and ask them to customize her some new boots!!!

At the filming for "Live In Boston" on the Say You Will tour, just before Gypsy, Stevie came out wearing not the Reebocks, but "regular" tan boots. Everyone who was standing at the stage underneath her was freaking out, talking about the boots, and Stevie looked down at us and said "only for this song".
