Mackenzie Phillips High On Arrival- Waddy Watchel mention
 

I am reading the Mackenzie Phillips High On Arrival and just read this small paragraph mentioning Waddy Watchel that I thought was funny.

Mackenzie is talking about how she was dating Peter Asher and how they went on tour with Linda Rondstadt. "After the concerts, back at the hotel, there was always plenty of coke around. Linda's guitar player Waddy Wachtel, slept a lot, and the only way to rouse him was to tick a razor blade against a mirror. The tiny sound of the possibility of cocaine woke him every time." LOL

I am reading this book and its amazing the amount of drugs that this woman has done in her life. I am amazed she is alive. This story is both heartbreaking and fascinating all at the same time.

I don't know if I'd want to read it...some of it sounds a bit intense. The bit about Waddy did make me laugh, though. Poor guy, out there just living his life and the next thing he knows he's got an honorable mention in MP's tell all. That just goes to show you that you can never escape your past...cause there's always going to be someone out there to bring it up ;)

I am about 1/3 of the way through the book and its really good so far. I just cant believe that anybody could do so many drugs and still be alive, its craziness. After I am done with this I want to read the new Jodie Sweetin book Unsweetined as well. I heard that was good.

i really want to give mackenzie's book a read~ i never missed an episode of 'one day at a time' & loved her in american graffiti~ i remember her drug struggles back then~ i watched her on oprah both times she was on & she truly has led a heartbreaking yet interesting life~

wow i cant believe how many times in this book i have read about mackenze phillips overdosing. its so crazy and literally it seems that she has done every single type of drug imaginable.
