Mick's "bullet proof" glass

Does anyone know why Mick has that bullet proof glass looking thing around his drum kit? haha its been makin me wonder lately

I believe that's so that a microphone can capture his drum kit's sound better.

It's an acoustics thing:)

It's indeed for the acoustics and also so that the bass does not vibrate the drums

To protect himself from crazy fans, actually. I heard Stevie isn't going out again without one around herself.

Why's Mick have bullet proof glass, but Stevie and Lindsey and John Dont...

The acoustics answer makes sense.

It's not actually "bullet proof"...

It's called a drum shield and is made of plexi glass. It's used to reflect the sound and help with the overall acoustics. If you don't have the shield up, the other musicians are overwhelmed by the drums, and no one can hear anything properly so the sound would just be "too much". It also causes the sound to bounce back to the drummer which they love...
