There's A Song On The New Miranda Lambert CD....
...entitled "Airstream Song" that I think would be a perfect fit for Stevie, should she ever get around to doing A) a covers album, or B) a Country album!
Check it out! |
That is my favorite song on Miranda's new cd, and while the lyrics would be very fitting for Stevie, I don't want to hear her sing it. Love Miranda's voice on it too much.

Here's the lyrics:
Sometimes I wish I lived in an Airstream Homemade curtains, lived just like a gypsy Break a heart, roll out of town ‘Cause gypsies never get tied down Sometimes I wish I lived on a mountain Drank from a stream instead of a fountain I’d stay there, top of the world But I was born a red dirt girl Unbridled or tethered and tied The safety of the fence or the danger of the ride I’ll always be unsatisfied Sometimes I wish I lived by a pier In a lighthouse with a chandelier I’d watch everybody’s ships come in And then I’d sail away with them Unanchored in the storm Or safely on the shore If this is all I need, why do I want more Sometimes I wish I lived in an airstream Homemade curtains, lived just like a gypsy http://www.mirandalambert.com/ |
I haven't heard the song...but I love those lyrics! I just had to put "cause gypsies never get tied down" in as part of my my msn messenger comment. I love the idea of that...always being free
Like I said, I've never heard Miranda sing it so I would love to hear Stevie try it...of course, even if I had heard Miranda sing it, I would want to hear Stevie try it  |
Of course I love Miranda's version....but I can DEFINITELY hear Stevie's voice on this song!!:D

That song sounds nice! Kinda has the lyrics of a Stevie song.. which is sooo cool cuz Miranda is my favorite country singer. I gotta get the CD asap!! :xoxo:
|
The lyrics are totally cool! However, more than I would like to see Stevie sing this, I would love for her to be writing new songs like this.

I reckon it's just the mention of gypsies that makes it 'Steviesque', the lyrics are pure Miranda. The song was actually inspired by Merle Haggard's 'The Way I Am', Miranda wanted to write her own version. |
