Verizon Wireless Phones

Can anyone recommend a good, Verizon Wireless Phone? I'm looking at a possible upgrade to a smart phone. Something easy to use, has texting, web access, not too expensive & it doesn't necessarily have to have a camera & music. After reading some reviews, I'm leaning towards a pink Blackberry Curve. I presently have an old Samsung which I'm not too crazy about & it's not a smartphone. (It's a stupid phone.) So if anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. :wavey:

Thanks,

Lee :)

You know what they say, once you go black(berry) you never go back. ;)

I think if you have the patience to take five minutes to learn how to use a BB, you'll love it. It seems to fit everything you're looking for. Between facebook, twitter and BBM I'm absolutely addicted to mine.

I have a Motorola Q9c smartphone and I LOVE IT!

It's Windows Mobile OS, not palm or anything else. I can easily edit any word, excel, ppt, etc document, web navigation is great, it comes with VZ navigator, battery life is good.

I can't complain about anything. It's NOT a touch screen, but I dont mind that... I actually prefer it. It's sleek, light, and the buttons are easy to press too! (I have big hands, so for many phones I tend to hit more than one button when I use it.

Oh, and did I mention the price was right.... I got it new for 79.99 when they had the "red hot deal days" a while back. I think the price may have gone up though...

Ohhh, be careful! I just checked the VZW site and they are selling pre-owned Q9m's, not Q9c's, but anyway make sure they don't try to sell you a pre-owned phone... I would be certain it would be the equivalent of throwing your money in the trash.

I have the Blackberry Storm which I have a love/ hate relationship. You have to do battry pulls like almost everyday which is very annoying. If you don't the unit runs from slow to stop. The newer version will be out soon and hopefully they will be better.

I've got a BlackBerry Curve 8900, it's absolutely amazing. The battery life is absolutely diabolocal though, I have to charge it every day. However, there've been things brought out like applications and I love having Facebook and Twitter at my reach.

The Envy3, Envy touch, and the Voyager are all amazing. I'm on the Envy3 now though! :D

Thanks for the replies.

Jeez, I don't know if I want a phone that you have to charge EVERY day. Right now I just charge my phone maybe twice a week.

Well, I'm still kind of mad @ Verizon. I have their DSL & it went down due to some kind of problem (they never explained what) on Friday night, so I couldn't get on the Internet on my home computer all weekend. I was really upset, especially when they gave me the round around on Saturday, having me reset my modem, do all kinds of stuff on my computer & basically keeping me on the phone for over an hour & then telling me they were still having problems in my area anyway. :distress: So I called again last night, demanded to talk to a manager (well he said that he was anyway). He told me that everything was back up & he could get me back on the Internet in 5 minutes guaranteed & he did. :blob2: He was the only one to seemed to know what he was doing. I still want to upgrade my phone, but I think I have to cool off for a while.

Yes, the enV3 is great. I have one and love it. Its compact (I could never tolerate a phone as huge and bulky as, say, the iPhone) with a full qwerty keyboard, and its great for Internet access as well. The quality of the camera isn't bad either. Plus, its quite affordable (I'm in the group that will never be able to rationalize paying more for a cellphone than a decent laptop computer).

Whatever you do, don't get FiOS! I've heard way too many horror stories.

Durrr, I feel like a dork now because I can't spell enV. >.<

I kind of want an iPhone, but I think I would die if I had a phone that was ONLY touch screen. I fail at touch screens. And I couldn't agree more, it has an awesome camera! When I e-mail the pics I take to myself, they're always super big and super high quality.

And Lee - I only charge my enV about once a week. Unless I text/take pictures/surf the web nonstop, then I have to charge it more often. :blob1:
