Stuff We've Written . . . .
Thought there was already a thread for stuff people have written?
At any rate - - - I just scribbled this down - - - It's kind of random and inspired by a 2 a.m. watching-X-Files-with-the-lights-off sugar high. ;) "I just saw that Tom Hanks film on TV - They thought they were so clever But what they were willing to do, it just makes me shiver. They flock like lemmings to DC and they do start out as good but soon find themselves lost in the deep, dark wood. Maybe it don't mean a thing but they're addicted to that ring. That's why they start out as Gandalf but soon make us want to ralph. We took them out but out of what? They loved their land, like a hand fits in a glove. But we're here to learn how to teach one another to love. A leads to B leads to C leads to thee, But frankly it's only the A and H that worry me. They say "Allahu Akbar" while we say "God is Great" and think ourselves so much better - Ali Ali Oxen Free for ever. |
Yes! A place for other people to post their writing. I was thinking the "Dani's Diary" thread was a little selfish in that regard.
I'll read yours when it isn't midnight and I don't have 2 hours of homework left and a 6AM wakeup call. |

Oh and the Dani's Diary thread is wonderful and exciting, never selfish. |
More 4 a.m. rambling.
It's about Ted Kennedy: Flat-screen TV's at the Kennedy Compound what the f*ck? The smoke-filled room has become just - a room. They said "some guys have all the luck!" And the waves crash ashore as a Russian sub parks off the coast to help us study our eroding shore. I'm sorry to be such a bore but right now Jean K. is making toast (and maybe remembering a roast). They cuddled him, they sheltered him, they never called him "Ed" - But in the end it was he who led. Jack and Bob, they maybe brought us THIS close - it would have ended all the fun. Hey look - What would you have done? And the waves crash ashore as the dream has just begun. The top-hats are now Beamers Gosh weren't they just such schemers as they showed us our better nature and aren't we all? And the waves crash ashore. "The tide is high and we're moving on" - Well, the man from Hyannis Port is through with bars and he's through with cars as the waves crash ashore. He never made the Oval - I guess he didn't dare. Hey, let me ask you something: If you were in the trenches - Who would you want there? You know, there's gonna be a paper trail a mile long; It will take forever to sort through it all as the waves crash ashore. But maybe what's more important is their reminder - we all belong. They chose to go to the moon and do the other things - Jesus Christ, look what they built as the waves crashed ashore. It's not that they stooped so low. They asked us to reach high and that's why it's so hard, to say goodbye. They asked more of us all - GOD I hope heaven has football! |
