Me singing "Dreams"

Ok ok ok....my life is beyond BORING. A couple months ago I got a Mac and was messing around with Garage Band. THIS is my first Garage Band creation, there is no music, just me singing. I was just messing around, however, my friend just build this studio in his new house and is working on some material of his own. Me, being the little weasel that I am, is thinking of harassing him to let me record some stuff.

I love singing, and while I realize I am NOT the best, I really want to make a cd or at least just some demos or something.

So, here is my first ever creation on my own singing Stevie's "Dreams". So when I get famous, y'all have my first ever unreleased demo, lol.

And no laughing!

That's beautiful, bryson. Nice job.
Please think about uploading more.

Boo. It doesn't work on my computer.

This is probably going to sound ridiculous, but seeing as how I know nothing about Mac (I'm a Windows gal -- I'm not cool enough to own a Mac  please tell me y'all have seen that commercial) but what's this .m4a file format??

Help, please!!!

brysondt 08-10-2009 03:00 PM

Oh dang. I'm not sure what the m4a format means, but I notice when I send something from my itunes library, thats the format it leaves in.

I'll see if I can convert it. Not that it's anything all that great, haha. But I'll try to convert it today. I'm taking a research writing test at the moment for this writing job I am applying for. Cross y'alls fingers! I need a job! haha

Thanks, girl! I'd like to hear your take on it. :)

Good luck on that test!

Creepy.

That was great, Bryson! It sounded a lot like Stevie herself :) Not to hijack your thread, but I thought it would be fun if we all (or at least those of us with Macs who can easily record ourselves) sang snippets of our favorite Mac songs.

Now, if I'm doing this, everyone has to join in because I seriously cannot sing.

As it's so aptly titled, my Rhiannonfail.

LOVES IT, LikeAWillow!

You sounded pretty good to me, girl. Everyone feel free to hijack my thread, haha, and post lovely renditions of whatever you love that is FM and Stevie.

M4a can be played on RealPlayer which you can download for free. M4a is a music format similar to MP3.

A-ha! Gotcha.

Thanks for that!

Viv is so wise!

LiamMcConville 08-10-2009 08:33 PM

You almost sound like Sharon Celani.

brysondt 08-10-2009 10:35 PM

Who sounds like Sharon Celani? Me or LikeAWillow?

Moz 08-11-2009 01:52 AM

Aw, it would be cool if we could get some Ledgies to do the music parts and add it to your vocals.

Doesn't it drive you crazy when you ask someone a question and they don't answer you?
