"Destiny" from "Street Angel"
 

I think this is an extreamly under rated song...i loved it the first time i heard it..it's simple and effective...i PRAYED she would play it on the street angel tour...which she did :-)... thank you stevie...i was wondering if anyone had a demo of this...i have only heard the album version..which as i said i really love ..but i would just love to hear a rougher cut of it..if not...give your opinion of this song..would like to hear if other folks agree w/me...thanks

and since I cant stand "Enchanted" im glad she re-used that line about "I was destined to fall"

I personally cannot fault the street angel album, :confused: maybe im just wierd.

I've always liked this song too. It's my favorite song on the Street Angel album... along with Rose Garden. :nod:

No!! I love Enchanted. I think it's one of her strongest album tracks and can't believe it was never a single. I liked it when in the Enchanted Box Set EPK she said that the song has always had a "life of it's own".

Each to their own obviously, I'm just surprised because I've never heard anyone say they don't like that song before. Of course there must be a few who don't but still...haha!

I don't like or care for this song. I'm not even a huge fan of Enchanted, but that was so much better than Destiny. I like Street Angel a lot but I am not a fan of most of the songs she picked to play live that tour from the SA album.

Street Angel is just a completely underrated album in my opinion. It has alway been a favorite of mine- possibly because it was the 1st "new materials" album of Stevie's I ever got!!!

Yes, I loved it on the album, but it's lost it's punch in concert these days.

But those Wild Heart songs, fast, soaring vocals. As a collection, Enchanted, IAF, the title cut, they gave me quite a rush. Sure, of the opening songs, Gate and Garden was the weakest, but its climax and peaks kind of made up for the other 80% of it. No-o-o-obody knows, nothing about it.

Rose Garden is beautiful,I included it on my Stevie playlist.

On to Destiny,a beautiful song. That melody and the girls' vocals are so pretty. It's the only track on SA where Stevie sounds committed to the song. Maybe they did some studio trickery but I swear it wasn't recorded with the rest of the record. I always thought she recorded it after detox. Anyway, great song and great on stage, too!
