Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek) covers Steal Your Heart Away

I've just checked nickslive.blogspot.com and they've posted an absolutely wonderful cover version of Steal Your Heart Away by Sara, who used to be in Nickel Creek. They were one of my favourite bands and I was excited to hear this...and it toally didn't disappoint!

Everyone should check this out! Now, does anyone know where I can get an mp3 of this??

Hmmmm..a strange one here. I wrote that last post as the file was downloading and now that it has it doesn't appear to be on my computer in the location I've saved it to!

I've done it 3 times just to be sure and it's never there. It doesn't seem to be on my computer at all even though it definitely says it's downloaded. How odd...is anyone else having this problem?

Times Union article on Nickel Creek, July 18, 2014 by Greg Haymes

But this year they reunited, recorded a fine new album and hit the road again for a subsequent tour in celebration of the band's 25th anniversary. Not bad when you consider that the eldest member of the group, Sean Watkins, is now only 37 years old. Yes, the former child prodigies are all grown up, and they rocked Grey Fox with a seamless blend of progressive bluegrass and adventurous new-acoustic pop – including Sara Watkins's spirited rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "The Ledge."

The trio's dazzling instrumental virtuosity was in full bloom on older instrument

Glad to hear that Nickel Creek will be doing another album..their last one had some definite Mac influence in fact I started a thread on here when it was new regarding how much the song When in Rome reminded me of The Chain.

The sendspace link doesn't appear to be working any more. Can you repost it?

Thanks,
matt

She does a pretty cool version. I have Nickel Creek's self-titled album lying around somewhere, I might have to dig it out and give it another listen.

A friend of mine recently shared a youtube clip of their cover of "The Ledge." I was really impressed. I've liked a couple of Nickel Creek's songs over the years, but had never heard that side of them. And now I really want FM to add "The Ledge" to their set. Would be a terrific addition -- fun and rollicking.
