Mad at Madoff - 150 Years
 

Bernie Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in jail today.

Anybody have any ideas why it was so light? :shocked:

He madoff with a truckload, didn't he?

I believe that was the maximum sentence he could have been given :shrug:

I mean, if he doesn't qualify for the absolute maximum... who the hell would!?

But, the main factor here was his age.

I say he deserved what he got.

Anything vomited up by the government is complicated -- almost always unnecessarily so.

They were talking about this on one of the news stations. YES, what Madoff did was HORRENDOUS- but how many times have murderers gotten off with lighter sentences than this?

Imagine how pissed and revengeful he'll be when he's 221!

He might miss Fleetwood Mac's farewell tour.

What farewell tour? Fleetwood Mac will never end!!!!!

so what about the livelyhood he stole that caused people to take their own lives?~ maybe he didn't pull the trigger himself, but he might as well have~

he deserves every second that he was sentenced to~

Just found out that the federal prison system does not have parole. It was eliminated in the 80's. That's the end for Madoff. Even it the sentence is reduced somewhat it won't matter.

I've heard about two suicides. Has there been any precedent for charging somebody damages for influencing somebody to commit suicide? Lots of people have been 'ruined' out there and I don't think you can write all of them off as that's their own fault/buyer beware, or even just bad luck.
