Anyone watching the NHL or NBA playoffs?

I'm a big sports fan, and to me both the NBA and NHL playoffs this year have been very exciting. Quite a few 7 game series, lots of exciting finishes. Any thoughts?

Yep!

NBA.. that Celtics/Bulls series was something, wasn't it? I made a half-hearted effort to try to go to Boston for Game 7, but wasn't able to (glad I didn't- as anticlimactic as it was) Other than that, I went to Game 1 of the Rockets/Blazers series in person to watch Portland get blown out- not that fun. I don't like the team in general, but I think Denver makes it to the finals vs. Cleveland (Cleveland wins, of course)

NHL.. the Caps/Penguins series was awesome, of course. Game 7 of Bruins/Hurricanes (what I saw of it- thanks to the genius NHL putting two game 7's on concurrently!) was rather heartbreaking in the end, with Scott Walker (public enemy #1 in Boston) getting that GW goal. I'm hoping for a Chicago/Pittsburgh final.

I definitely agree with you on The Nuggets. I am a Lakers fan since the days of Kareem and Magic in the 80's, but something very weird is going on in this series with the Rockets. After losing Yao Ming, I wouldve thought the Lakers wouldve run right over the Rockets, but after beating them by 40 in game 5, The Lakers go back to Houston and lay a complete egg in game 6. Not exactly the qualities you look for in a chamionship team. If they play anything like this against the Nuggets(assuming they actually beat Houston in game 7) Denver will win that series.

The Lakers should be embarassed with their play in this series against the Rockets. It's inexcusable for a team that was supposed to be a lock for the Finals. That said, there's only one team now that's going to win the title and that's the Cavs. Lebron is a monster and he will not allow his team to lose.

As far as the NHL goes, as long as Kid Crosby and Geno Malkin win the Cup I'll be happy. Hopefully they'll meet the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals so they can serve revenge on them along with showing Marian Hossa what a mistake it was to leave the Pens.

Matt

Watching the Lakers - Denver game 4 right now. It's looking like the Lakers will go down but there have been a lot 4th quarter surprises lately. I'll have to watch til the end

Oh my how i love my penguins, lol! we need the cup back here in pittsburgh and i am loving this series so far. i hope we sweep carolina tonight. that would be awesome! i got to go to the game on thursday and there is nothing like being at the igloo for a playoff game. it was nuts and the amount of people outside watching the game was crazy! good times for sure!
There is nothing I would like to see more than the Pens to beat Detroit if they play them in the finals. Hossa is a jerkoff and he doesnt deserve to win a cup!! GO PENS!!

Eastern Conference Champs - Go Pens!! Woot Woot!!!

I havent really been following the NHL playoffs since the Flyers got eliminated. Dont really care that much about basketball. all about Baseball right now for me
