I saw them live at the Fillmore a few years back. A very good but very strange show. I remember their opening acts consisted of an Aboriginal dancer, a roadie telling obscene jokes, and Crowe's wife (though she wasn't at the time) Danielle Spencer singing some songs. In between each of these acts, they kept blasting Men At Work's "Land Down Under" over the speakers. Then the band came on and Crowe proceeded to drink his way through a hell of a lot of beer between (and during) songs. They sounded great though. Oh, and you can add Tom Petty's Runnin' Down A Dream to my list. I forgot that it's got the concert on it as well. For some reason I had it in my mind that it was just a documentary. |
