People Interview April 09... Stevie Size 8?

Hi All,

Just online at NicksFix and link to this People interview http://www.people.com/people/article...269012,00.html

The secret to staying slim is finding a healthy weight you can maintain, says the "Rhiannon" chanteuse, who is now a sleek size 8 and is touring with Fleetwood Mac for the first time in five years. "You don't have to weigh 105 lbs. Weigh 125 lbs. and stay there."

About Stevie being a size 8??? What the! Come on! The only reason i find this wrong is because its false, I don't care that she is not, but i do care about crap being published, however, I think it is the journo saying that, not Stevie... So all is forgiven.. lol

I dunno...she was TINY when I met her last week...and looked AMAZING!! She has lost ALOT and toned so maybe she is a size 8. When she isn't wearing her stage dresses she looks really thin. GO STEVIE!

Agreed...watch "Stand Back" from Live in Chicago...she's wearing that short skirt/long blouse and tights...very slimming look for her.

Regina 04-07-2009 07:13 AM

What size do you think she is? And why does it offend you that it's published?

For all the sized -0.2's in Hollywood, I think it's great that a "normal" sized woman is not ashamed to admit it. And she is no more than an 8. Actually, I would have given her a 6.

There's no way she's any bigger than an 8. she's really really tiny when you see her in person. I personally think she's gorgeous at any size but she's definitely really small right now. I say good for her for being happy and healthy.

US sizes are obviously VERY different to UK sizes
not that I know much about either.
I'd have said UK 12 at LEAST, whats that in US sizes ?..

Why am I talkign about this at all. LOL.

new topic, how big are Micks feet.

Chrislit18 04-07-2009 09:42 AM

I'd say she looks smaller than an 8 now actually. I agree with Regina, about a 6 would be right IMO. She is no way a 10/12, as it would show on a tiny woman like Stevie. She looks about the same porportions as a normal sized woman - which would be around a 6.

I'm sorry, I laughed right out loud at "normal sized woman" bit.

A US size 8 is a UK size 12. I can believe she's a UK 12.. she has curvy hips and she is very short

So a 'normal sized woman' is a size 6 (that's a UK 10) ??!! Hmmm...

Get to the gym, Stevie, & start lifting free weights. Don't use Karen as your spotter. Go for smaller repetitions & bigger weights for muscle gain. Try to get rid of some of that flab around your tush by alternating weight lifting with aerobic/cardio activity at high intensity. Make sure your doctor approves of your new regimen before you start. If you feel dizzy or severely out of breath, step off the machine and sit down with your head between your knees until you get your equilibrium back. Practice polite gym etiquette by wiping down the machine after you use it.

Well, according to People Magazine's article, she already does this, with her "Power Plate" machine!

Stevie Nicks is 60 but she still feels like she's on the "edge of 17," thanks to super-efficient Power Plate workouts that have whipped her into incredible shape

Regina 04-07-2009 12:28 PM

So, what is a normal size, huh?
A 2?

Get back to us when you're 60 and see if you feel the same way.

bellagypsy79 04-07-2009 12:41 PM

I used to be a size 8 and I weighed about 135 lbs. I am still trying to get it back.

darla 04-07-2009 01:28 PM

Totally agree Eric,
When I met her last week, she is tiny. When she wears all the layers, Stevie
makes herself look heavier. She does look a size 8. Tiny woman and
beautiful...
