Does Anyone Have Their Old Polaroid Photo Sheets from Silver Springs Emporium?
First of all, I thought it might be fun to post the old Polaroid photo sheets that Stevie's mom (and assistants) used to mail you from the Silver Springs Emporium when you requested to see what items were available. I have a couple of them to contribute. Aside from the general fun, I am also hoping someone will post the sheet which mentioned/showed the two things I bought years ago and still have. I can't see myself having misplaced it, so I am wondering if (being a teenager at the time) I highlighted what I wanted on the sheet and sent it back to SSE.

I have no pictures. I ordered from there like once.....wish now I'd have gotten more stuff. I had like no idea at the time the store was gonna close soon. I'd have bought more auto stuff for sure. Esp posters etc. No clue. I only got the Rhiannon shirt & an auto BD lp. I have the same list that you do...the last one. I remember I was thinking about that penquin auto...it sounded cool but the auto was on the glass....I'd rather have it be on were the needlepoint is.....Oh a TS poster would've been great too. Ah...the days before the Net when you couldn't wait for that snail mail......and the old fanzines too....I recall them fondly too....anyone else....don't get me wrong theres alot I love about the Net.....but I still like the 'old' days too......at least mostly good ones......I am older but heck aren't we all.......sorry I can't help with pics I'd love to see them myself...Dorothy never sent me any pics of anything......

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this after I started it!
I have a couple sheets of Polaroid photos, sent to me by her mom or aunt by request, of Stevie's clothes that were for sale at SSE in the mid 90's. I really want to share them with you and have used my digital camera to take photos of the sheets that turned out really well. But I am having a technical problem posting them that I do not know how to remedy. If someone can help, I'll get them up ASAP! Copy/Paste did not work. When I attempted to "attach as thumbnails", it said the limit is 100 kb, and the photos are 600+ kb. The photos are currently stored in Adobe. Thanks! :wavey: |
ooo. Priestofnothing beet me to it! That was good to go to when it was open. I whish Barbra Nicks would open another one.

My trip to Silver Springs Emporium
I remember me and my best friend flew out to CA in 1998 and took a road trip to Payson specifically to see the Silver Springs Emporium. It is an absolutely breath taking drive and once we got there we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. I took several pictures of the exterior of the store and maybe a few of the inside, I'll have to check. I remember it being very small inside and there was many more of those doll collections for sale then there were FM/Stevie memorabilia. There was one small circular rack in the middle of the store with old tour shirts on them...mostly recent tours...I bought a red TITN tee and I think that was as "vintage" as they got. Barbara wasn't there, some other lady named Dorothy was....and our one really thrilling moment was when we overheard her on the phone speaking to someone about more merchandise coming in and she said, "Chris will be here soon to drop it off..." Needless to say we stayed as long as we felt we could without feeling like nutty stalkers but we never ran into Chris Nicks. It was an awesome trip though! It's a shame that little store closed down....

Wow... I'll have to look around for mine. I bought the signed Time Space poster. I know I still have the letters somewhere around here. If I find them soon, I'll scan and post.
