Were these pre-Buckingham Nicks songs performed?
I'm a big fan of all various incarnations of Fleetwood Mac prior to Buckingham Nicks. I really love how those songs were adapted and performed when Lindsey and Stevie joined. Songs such as:
Station Man Tell Me All The Things You Do Sunny Side Of Heaven Hypnotized Oh Well Green Manalishi Get Like You Used To Be Believe Me Why Spare Me A Little Frozen Love Don't Let Me Down Again All of these songs have emerged on various live bootlegs. But I've seen some documentation that other songs were performed: Child Of Mine Just Crazy Love Prove Your Love If this is true, how did they escape all the bootlegs out there? And, as an off-hand comment, why didn't they play more Bob Welch songs -- Sentimental Lady for example? |

It was mentioned in Mick's book that at the time that Welch was recording French Kiss, Fleetwood Mac was doing "Sentimental Lady" in concert, which is one reason that most of Fleetwood Mac was involved in Bob's version on FK.
Also, there've been verbal reports of them doing Bob Welch's "Angel" early in '75. (undocumented on recordings, however...much like "Child Of Mine" & "Prove Your Love") |

I know it's not a bootleg and I may remember incorrectly, but isn't the version of "Why" on the 25 Years Chain Boxed Set with Stevie and Lindsey? I too love that song and the version with them singing- they did it on the Midnight Special right?

So...have any bootlegs emerged that have the Rumours era band performing Child Of Mine, Prove Your Love, or Just Crazy Love? I'm not sure if they ever did, but I read somewhere that they included those songs in their set at one time or another.
That was my original question when I started this thread. |

I doubt they ever played Prove Your Love live, but I would kill to hear it, if they did. I've heard a few people report (from second or third hand accounts--much like urban folklore) that the 75 lineup played Child of Mine (with Lindsey singing) and Angel (with Chris singing). If either made the setlist, I'd be surprised, but Child of Mine might have had the best shot: Lindsey has said he did not like performing Bob Welch's tunes. |

BTW, they're doing Oh Well, which counts! |
