Stevie Nicks has seen School of Rock 50 times!
By JANE STEVENSON
Thu, April 2, 2009 Edmonton Sun Does Stevie Nicks appreciate the homage to her signature solo song, Edge of Seventeen, in the 2003 film, The School Of Rock? You better believe it. In the classic movie scene in question, Jack Black, pretending to be a high school teacher, puts Edge of Seventeen on the jukebox in a bar in order to win over the uptight school principal (a Nicks fan) played by Joan Cusack and the two end up rocking out to the song. "I'm so thrilled and so honoured that Jack Black and Joan Cusack would pick my song," Nicks, 60, told Sun Media. "Can you imagine the first time I saw that? I died. I have watched that movie probably 50 times. And I never get tired of it. Because just the idea -- school of rock -- I loved it. I would go into a school to be a teacher just to have that school of rock thing happen. I think it's the cutest thing ever." http://www.edmontonsun.com/Entertain...73131-sun.html |

That's awesome. It really is just a great, feel-good movie. Joan Cusack is great in it, too.

and used to make my friends watch and yell out inappropriately when da song came on :D |
That is so cool. I have always wondered if she saw the movie and what she thought of it.
Wow, all of these interviews ... I am on Stevie overload right now. Hard to keep up with this media blitz, so thank you for posting this. |
If it's possible, Stevie has just become infinitely cooler in my eyes. I love that movie to pieces and like SandyMac, I have often wondered whether Stevie had watched it and what she thought. Love it!
