Prospects of a live DVD/CD?

Apologies if this has been discussed before. I wonder what everybody reckons is the likelihood of some sort of live DVD and/or CD from this tour?

If the Rumours rehash is being marketed, then will the marketing machine push for something like the Live In Boston package too?

Well, if you're going to call something a "Hits" tour that is built in marketing for a DVD that supposedly features all of your most popular songs. We can only hope.

FM, just cut out the distribution part of it and sell it on your website if that's all you can do. What have you got to lose?

Really? I was thinking that it would be low to none. How many live albums have they released over all? And for the last three tours, three? I don't really know. But I hope I am wrong.

MacMan 03-06-2009 07:13 PM

I hope they do! Seems most acts now-a-days release some sort of a dvd after a tour...

I don't know, but the wrong shows are always the ones filmed -- St. Louis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston. Of course, it's practically impossible to predict which town is going to be the best concert, & I guess it's still pretty expensive to record every night.

StandbackStevie 03-06-2009 08:28 PM

that would be awesome I was at the live in boston soundstage back in 2003 the free show which was the first night with about 800-1000 people i am guessing there it was awesome to be at a taped show and to be in the front row and got to shake hands that night with stevie and lindsey was priceless

I can smell another FM Soundstage Performance could be filmed in chicago studio just like stevies soundstage

and they can call the dvd Fleetwood Mac Unleashed in Chicago

Enchanted_Stevi 03-06-2009 08:32 PM

I would like to wish that they would have a soundstage of this tour. You never know though...Joe Thomas sent Stevie that guilt letter to do Sara live. So he might send FMac a guilt letter to do a Soundstage because of "Storms".

(Just sticking to the Stevie era)

Fleetwood Mac Live
Tusk Doc
Mirage concert video
Tango video
The Dance
Live In Boston

And, there's the not commercially released stuff that everybody has, like Largo, Rosebud, and Tokyo.

I'd rather they release a live EP with stuff NOT on The Dance (and maybe SYLM).

More importantly, will NO DOUBT release a DVD from their
upcoming tour??? This I look forward to. Tickets go on sale today.

Speaking of which, I've never understood why they never played Werewolves Of London. It's essentially a Fleetwood Mac song.
