Lindsey on the "Unleashed" Tour

I just saw some pictures of the show from Tuesday night. Was he wearing the same shirt? It looks to me like he is. (Not that I have any problem with re-using cloths)

I'm sure he has several of the same color...

How long has the leather jacket been out and about two? A couple tours now.

The jacket seems to be a different cut and texture from the one he usually wears. Michele

he has a new one...it's shorter and shiny. hehe.
I love the FIT.
and I love the FIT of his new pants too. hehe

For goodness sakes it's Lindsey. He owns about 15 shirts. I'd say 3 black, 5 white, 4 silky blue shades, this red one, and probably 2 of some other color he's waiting to surprise us with when he feels like being spontaneous.

Or, like someone said, he probably has about thirty of every color he wears- which is white, black, red, and light blue/gray.

SUCH a fashion icon.

I couldn't care less what he's wearing!!

What I care about is the fact that he is getting absolutely tremendous reviews. Perhaps if they did this tour before he released GOS he could have really really made an impact with it, but that's not the way he wanted it, which is fair enough.

I have not been around to witness other Fleetwood Mac tours as I have only been a fan for the last 2/3 years. I would like to know if he always got great reviews, or was he perhaps overlooked a bit (due to Steviemania) in the past?

Imho he was always the best member live.

I agree with almost everything that you said. However, don't even tempt Lindsey to push back the release of an album, or we may never see it.

I totally, totally agree with everything you all are saying about Lindsey live. Shoot, I became the FM fan that I am today based mainly on seeing that man live in concert. I've seen him 9 times in concert and he is absolutely mesmerizing. That's already settled. No debates.

But what's wrong with talking about the clothes? Every time one of these "LB wardrobe" threads start someone comes on and says it doesn't matter or it isn't important...well, some people like fashion. And maybe part of the appeal of LB to those types is how he's put together, what colors suit him, his outfits, etc. I can't lie, I talk fashion. I'm a devoted Lindsey fan and he could come out in a potato sack accented in purple mesh and it would not deter from his obvious musical gifts, but if he's wearing something new/cool/attractive, I'm going to comment. Just like I do when he wears the exact same outfit combination for months on end. It's how I roll.

But, really, no offense meant...:xoxo:

He got tremendous reviews for the SYW tour too. I really don't think reviewers singled him out that much for The Dance. In the eighties I would not say he was overlooked necessarily, but definitely not every FM concert review mentioned his prowess. Some did though. But in between concerts, people would definitely focus on what Stevie did. That was the lasting perception they had of FM.

I think some thing that he has changed over the years and that he's more manic now than he was then, but he's never been sedate. People realized that when they saw him live back then, but then they would forget it after the show. Michele

Yes, I was a fan before I saw them in concert. I heard Sara. I bought the Tusk album. Didn't much like his Tusk songs, except for the title cut, so I definitely wasn't expecting to take much interest in the guitarist when I went to my first FM show, but once I saw him live, I was a permanent fan. That was back in 1979.

You know what? I really don't care about fashion, but I post about a lot of things I don't really care about here. It's fun to be frivolous. The comments make me laugh. We aren't composing essays about the spread of famine here.

If Lindsey ever shaves his head, I'm going to start 20 different threads about it. There will be no end to what I would have to say about such a development.

Ok, I loved the band before seeing LB live, but I fell in love once I saw him, and that man has really been the sustaining power for my ongoing adoration. I bought Out of the Cradle and, well, the sequential summary need not be explained. But he is mind-blowing and I can't say I am not biased when it comes to him.

I'm not fastidious about fashion. I love style and fabric and color, but it has never ever played a part in making me like one thing over another. But I notice these things. Like when I go out, I dress up. And I people-watch. My boyfriend thinks it's "fascinating" because he's convinced it's some kind of peculiar female trait, but I constantly explain to him it's really just me. Some people don't give an eff, not that I blame them. I guess in that sense I could be very much like Stevie. I "get" the numerous costume changes. I'm not sure I'd do it myself, but I like 'em. :o

Oh, I do care about fashion in that sense. I mean, not enough to watch the Oscars red carpet specials, but enough to spend hours going through a single issue of Vogue.

When I first became aware of FM, Lindsey was not really on my mind. Got the Tusk album first and was disappointed that all the songs didn't sound like Sara. Then, I went back and got Rumours and the White album and I guess I liked GYOW, but nothing else of his said that much to me. I enjoyed SYLM, OMH, Rhiannon, Dreams. Saw them in concert in 1979, I was blown away by his performances. Embraced L & O. Eagerly awaited Mirage. By 1982, I had long since reached the point of no return as an LB fan. Michele

Wow, Michele. Good for you. How did LB look in person in 1979? I ask because he's HOT as what in pictures during that time. And if he's really handsome in person now, I can only imagine then...;)

I think I was very much like you...I was raised on all the really great "classic rock" type of music, dating all the way back to the Beatles. Plus people like Dylan, Young, Browne, Mitchell, S&G, etc. I think I mainly listened to the Beach Boys and Beatles when I was very young, but as I got older I appreciated more bands and think I was around 12 when I really started to love FM's music. I didn't care who any of them were, I just loved GYOW, Dreams, and Don't Stop (how coincidental that it's the three dif. leads).

But I started to really get into them in college. I was into contemporary stuff, I was at some record shop, and I picked up "Rumours" then after falling I went and got "Tusk" and that has been my favorite of theirs. I stopped buying their records, got SYW when it came out and enjoyed it, saw the concert, fell in love with Lindsey, bought his solo stuff, and then the rest is what it is.

Funny, that. Everyone has a story but it all falls in to the same sort of place when you hear the music or they're playing in front of you. You are there for the songs and the music. It's beautiful how powerful music is, eh?

He was gorgeous. I mean his quirky exuberance might have hooked me by itself, but the looks didn't hurt. And really, from the start I ate up the interaction between the 3 songwriters. Mind you, I wasn't paying attention to them when all the divorces got press time in 1977. I think the only divorced celebrities I was worried about were Sonny and Cher. So, by 1979 when I saw them onstage together, I wasn't looking for animosity, friction or break up residue. I was attracted to the more tender and personal moments that I saw. I imagined these bonds that may be stronger in my head than they are in reality, but it really captured me.

But I do have to admit that back then, I wanted to marry Michael Jackson -- :distress:. Yes, just don't judge me! So, FM didn't entirely become my favorites at that point. Although I did see Stevie's solo shows, when faced with a conflict of interest, in 1984, I saw the Jacksons Victory Tour eleven times and I didn't see Christine McVie even once. I regret it now. Of course, I should regret the fact that I was spending money my dad gave me for school to go around the country attending concerts, but I don't think I'm plagued with guilt about it. My poor dad.

I don't claim to have the greatest taste in music. I like a wide range of stuff, from the forties through the eighties. I'll listen to it all, but it tends to be the most commercial music of its era that I'm drawn to. I can't say I'm a connoiseur of great art.

Michele
