Lindsey on Rumours DVD/CD (mp3): "They're gonna run that thing into the ground"

Were you involved in preparing that package?

"When you get to a point when the record company is repackaging something, and putting it out, it's not a high-stakes thing from my point of view, it's more of a boutique project. You don't go out expecting to sell millions of albums. It becomes one of many marketing tools to make the whole thing go a little bit better.

Usually, in that context what happen is the record company compiles something. They do the research to find some of the stuff. We'll be in more of an editorial capacity. And that's pretty much all I've done on this package."

Lindsey on Warner recycling Rumours: "They're gonna run that thing into the ground for sure."

This kinda' thing really shows the divide between new fans and old fans..

because I remember the last time they re-released Rumors, and I was relatively new to Fleetwood Mac, so it was a real pleasure for someone like me to buy Rumors on CD - remastered - including Silver Springs (as it always should have) .. and plus, wonderful bonus versions of songs.

Hearing the Fleetwood Mac version of "Planets Of The Universe" was pretty effin' awesome.

I can see how some people aren't excited about it - but if it has anything new that I haven't obtained in an unauthorized manner, I'd love that.

It would be exciting if they released all that old stuff in the vaults. The live concerts from that era that you can only find on YouTube...stuff like that. It's the re-hashing that gets old.

Lindsey's response was classic... I love it! That's great. Yeah, they are running it into the ground, but give us a full package with DVD of UNSEEN footage and I am there. I am thinking I would be all about some unheard, unseen material. For real. Charge thirty bucks- I'd buy it!

I'm placing my bets on the DVD being almost entirely clips already available on YouTube - and that Warner Brothers will pull all of them from the site within a week of this set coming out! :distress::mad:
