Ticket Drops for Auburn Hills

I just bought a 4th row ticket for Auburn Hills in Section A, close to the aisle of Section B. Looked like there were quite a few seats in rows 4 through 6.

^Ticket drops refer to releases by Ticketbastard. So, I paid face value for row 4, and I know exactly where my seat is. I still think face value is overpaying. I'm definitely not planning on lining the pockets of brokers, or TM (through their own scalping venue - Marketplace premium tickets). The fewer people that buy them through brokers, including ILAA, the more good seats end up back in the pool for face value.

I understand that I fuel this fire by buying the ILAA packages, but it was the only way I could also get that giftbag AND meet Mick. Honestly, we wouldn't have paid that much UNLESS it was an option. On my next ticket purchase I will not be so bold, sincerely.

I was just reading an article where Springsteen railed against Ticketmaster's conflict of interest. It appears that some of his fans trying to buy his tickets were locked out of Ticketmaster but, when they were, they got redirected to Ticketsnow, offering them tickets for hundreds of dollars more. Bruce spoke out against Ticketmaster's operations on his site.

TM not only owns and operates Ticketsnow, they have also started offering the "premium tickets" in their marketplace. Sure, someone who has purchased tickets and wants to sell them can list them there. But just recently, it's a new tab right next to the box office tab. And most of the tickets for the first five rows are listed there for a premium price.

I wonder whether the bands condone this. If so, they should just be up front and say tickets in the first five rows are $300 each, the rest of the floor is $150, etc. They also change the tickets listed every few days. I'm sure they're trying to make people think they've sold so they panic and buy whatever premium tickets are left. But the first row center always pops up again. Which means it's available. And will be closer to the show unless someone decides to pony up their outrageous asking price.

I'll take my chances.

I think it is great that you bought a package! If I would have been able to afford it this time around I would have done the same thing :wavey: Seriously--if you have the money and that is what you want to do then why not??? Don't feel bad about buying a package!!
