Does anybody know if Taku will be joining them for this tour????

I believe that he is still in Las Vegas with another artist. But I could be wrong.

His myspace sayes he will be in vegas with midler for a big chunk of the year. I hope and pray they get lenny. Taku is cool but many of you may not know that lenny is one of the best out there. He has been on hundreds of albums and played with everyone from the bee gees, b-52s and many jazz artist. Taku himself told me he's an inspiration and the best in the bizz. Nobody get offended tho.. Taku does kick ass lol

The Ahns will perform these works with special guests Taku Hirano, a top-rated percussionist who has played with Fleetwood Mac, Whitney Houston, Bette Midler, Dr. Dre and Stevie Nicks; and The Kin, Australian-born brothers Thorry and Isaac Koren.

Too bad. Would have loved to see him and Mick go at it in a "drum off" type thing for Mick's solo instead of the drum vest which I hope has been retired.

I'd rather they "unleash" {pun intended!! :-)} a "percussion war" between Mick and whomever they get to do percussion than see the vest again.

I was hoping we'd see him on the Oscars last night - since he was just on the Tonight Show performing w/ the Slumdog guy and the dancers.

Mick just posted a video with Taku Hirano. Can't believe it's 23 years since the Live in Boston.
