'Oh Daddy'- amazing version

Have you all seen this? It's from the Tusk tour. The intro is really fabulous as is the new arrangement and Christine's singing. Woo!

What a lovely version, beautiful vocals and a nice reinvention of the opening.

This is how they always did it in those days. That filigree with harmonics at the start is always beautiful. It isn't very long in this video (Nov. 25, 1979), but it is sometimes very long on the earlier tour.

The guitarists on the Ledge once explained exactly how it's done. Might be archived.

God, I really MISS Christine!

That is one of the best versions I've heard. Wow! that was good.

It's pretty intense, isn't it? The whole mood is sorrowful but fascinating, as if we're watching someone's deep, private suffering find voice and transform into song.

Her voice is not out of tune here, either.

Perfectly put. I almost felt guilty watching it, as though I was being intrusive. That's exactly how that song ought to make you feel, I suppose, given how introspective and ominous the lyrics can seem.

Wow, truly amazing.

Explained how what is done - the technical details of how he's playing the harmonics or detail in terms of the harmonic structure of what he's playing? Either way, this arrangement of the song is fantastic.

As I recall, it was an explanation of the technical details of how he's playing the harmonics.

I call it the Plicky-Plucky Effect.

What an intro! Thanks for sharing this.

If Christine were in this Classics tour, this song should be included!!
